It soon became obvious this is due largely to the owner, Mr Phan, who is apparently very knowledgeable of & skilled in his craft/trade. The day I meet Mr Phan, diligently working with him were his two sons, who were on Summer break from college. This was impressive to me, as I learned later, their college careers are not related to automotive repair. Yet, they appeared to be kind, attentive, talented, committed & focused on the needs of each customer who entered Liberty's door.
I was referred to Liberty by a dear female friend who found Liberty treated her with dignity & was reliable, communicative, proficient, fair & reasonable in the work they did on her car. Given my first experience, I must agree. One outstanding thing Mr Phan & his small team does well & in every instance while I was at his shop, is after carefully listening to each customer describe their needs /concerns & then asking appropriate questions, they do not create or set 'expectations' by guessing. Liberty informs each potential customer of their need to first carefully diagnose & then they will offer possible causes & a plan of action, including cost to remedy. Just think of the problems/frustrations avoided, for both the shop & customers, with Liberty not guessing after simply hearing the customers thoughts yet methodically getting & then giving insightful diagnoses.
I first stopped @ Liberty while in the area, I had no appointment. I learned later it was one of Mr Phan's sons who kindly interrupted his work to test drive my Nissan Sentra as I was concerned my brake pedal seemed to go too low. It was determined my brakes did need attention. I made an appointment & returned so my car could be properly diagnosed as to the reasons for the brake issue. In short order, Mr Phan identified the cause, gave me a plan of action & the cost. I asked & he agreed to check a couple of other things while under my car. I left my car, he called later with updates. The next day, my Nissan had a new brake master cylinder & brake booster & everything that went with properly doing the brake job. He also tightened the emergency brakes. Strictly, out of his goodwill, Mr Phan did several things to help me with items that he noticed, e.g., he replaced a battery terminal he saw was bad, topped off all fluids & even changed the battery in my key fob, etc. Additionally, he was transparent with the cost of all parts & labor & gave me a nice discount to help me manage the bill. Lastly, before giving me back my car, after doing all his services & repairs, I greatly appreciate that he test drove my car, to ensure all was well! Thank U Mr Phan & sons, for what I believe, was a job well done. YES, I was well pleased & will definitely be a repeat customer to Liberty Auto Repair & Services!”
