Unfortunately, there's no cover provided anywhere so you burn up in the sun. The monthly payments do increase over time, so if you're on a budget make sure to pay attention. There's also a rat issue. I'm not sure why, there's no food, but they come anyway. Also, make sure you get a really good lock, the cylindrical ones preferably, otherwise your unit can and will be broken into.

Rat infested hard to make claim items stolen from storage as well. They cut expensive locks off when late paying when all they really have to do is add their own locks. I sure they take items but they of course claim they do not. Hard to get claim forms.

I’m extremely disappointed in the service at this location. My work causes me to move frequently and I’ve used the one in Charlotte several times. However this location or the company has turned to a bed of thieves. After 2 months they increased my rent by $100. I have not been with them a year yet and my storage fee went from $200 to $300. I filed a complaint and they reduced it for a few months and then increased it again.
Recently they charged me $174 fee for a $30 balance because they tack on late fees on top of last minute increases with no warning ‼️ don’t use this location!

I've used Public Storage for about 20 years on and off..this time and this facility was by far the worse. I have never had an outdoor facility before this one. I was in a rush and locating to a new area. After obtaining the Storage I noticed rat poison packs in the from of the corners of the units. Needless to say no matter what I tried there were rat droppings each time I went to my unit to the point I didn't really want anything out of there. No one cared and could do anything. However, I do have some important things in there so I continued to pay even as the rent went up. I got behind on payments. Now that I moved into my home it's gotten to the point of being auctioned off. I called before this to see of there was any way to avoid this? I did not know I could make a partial payment to at least avoid auction and not lose my things. I advised Rhi da I had just lost my mother and I didn't want to lose the pictures of her. So if there was anyway to avoid to auction to let me know. She advise there was nothing more she could do no less price I could pay I had to pay the 1088.00 2 months plus fees or I would lose my space. At that point I accepted it would be auctioned off. I called to ask if she could give the bidder my information and she advised me it's not anyone's responsibility to get my things back to me (Pictures and kids birth certificates) because it's in the papers to not leave those things I'm the units and the bidders rarely return things. Rhonda is not a very pleasant person and always had a harsh tone and attitude. Even upon answering the phone. I believe even if the bidder did try to get in touch with me she wouldn't be kind enough to give them my info or keep my things for my pickup. I never expected this, have never loss my things in storage and and every intention on payung my balance and retrieving my things. Just faced a few bad experiences lately. I left this review to encourage you that if you are looking to store your things look elsewhere and surely not the Hamrick location. They just don't care. This is not a anger post or about losing my things. It's about the lack if care and concern yet my rent went up 3 to 4 times with no issue. I answered calls, didnt skip out on my things, communicated and it still is just about them making mo ey because I still will end up having to pay the bill. God bless.

Rhonda is very bad for business. They do not accommodate the storage of its not up to part, will charge you to switch unit. Very unprofessional, attitude bad and will talk disrespectful to you and call cops. After canceling reservation and won’t give you refund that day. Do NOT waste your money at this location. Rhonda is property manager very unprofessional and disrespectful!!!! She will try and advise you to give a review on the property before even checking the unit… Do Not.. I ADVISE DO NOT RENT STORAGE HERE!!!!

LARONDA!!! The absolute WORST manager I’ve ever came across . She’s rude, unprofessional and unapologetic. Called police because I told her I wouldn’t give her a good review based off the service I was receiving. Lights inside units do not work. Nor does the switch AND she canceled the reservation AFTER my belongings were already inside unit. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION !!!!!!
AND By the way these reviews are written BEFORE customers actually get unit and see how they are..:DO NOT LET THESE REVIEWS FULL YOU SAVE YOUR MONEY !!! DISPUTE DISPUTE DISPUTE !!! ?

Some of the worst, no - non-existent customer service ever. The office was rarely staffed in person and the office NEVER returned my phone calls, unless they wanted something from me. Items were stolen and they never responded to multiple requests about possible camera footage or help with filing a police report. Add to that, it was overpriced, especially considering the lack of security and response to theft. Unsure whether it's just this location or this company, but I'm pretty put off from ever using Public Storage again.
