I took my Chrysler minivan to the Sugar Hill AAMCO when the transmission started acting wonky. Its a 2001 but only has 97000 miles on it. I was expecting the usual "oh it will cost you 150 bucks for a diagnostic to be done" before the bad news came and i had to sell a kidney to afford the fix. But noooo. The diagnostic was free. I had to wait a couple days ... Very busy shop... And then came the news... Come get your car. We cant fix it. Your transmission control module is bad... Thats a computer that runs the transmission and we dont work on those. You probably need a replacement. So AJ the owner told me to look around for a used one and hopefully I will find one that didn't cost me an arm and a leg and was easy enough to put in. He did say something about it being a plug-and-play type thing generally well I don't know crap about transmissions but I went on YouTube and found a video of a guy who went to a junkyard and found one for 50 bucks. With great detail in the video he gave me the confidence to do it myself but I wasn't going to run around a bunch of junk yards. I found one on eBay for $100 and ordered it. It came a couple days later I jacked up my vehicle peeled off the wheel well plastic cover on the front left side. The old one was there just like the guy in the video said. Three bolts later the replacement was in place. I plugged it in and put everything back in place put the tire on started up the car and drove it all over the place and t ran perfectly. So I want to thank AJ at the Sugar Hill Georgia AAMCO for being honest and for caring about someone who in the end really wasn't a customer. Think about that. I did and realized what a great service he had done for me. I didn't know if there was a core charge possibly involved with that old one or anything so I stopped by to thank him and give him the old one in case he could do something with it. It ended up going in the garbage but a lot of Good will was earned. I would recommend AJ and the Sugar Hill AAMCO to anyone who's got transmission problems. You'll get a fair shake there.

I called to get a quote on getting my transmission rebuilt and I spoke with a girl after she gathered my information she told me she was going to work out the estimate and call me back. She seemed very confused on the phone like she didn’t know what she was doing and I never got a call back about it. This was 3 weeks ago. I can find other shops just let me know you’re not interested on my business don’t make me wait tho

Honest mechanics and a fair price. These guys are pretty busy so you may have to wait to get car repaired. It's worth it though

I had a great experience when my 2012 Nissan Rogue needed radiator replacement.AJ and team gave me an analysis of the repair that I trusted completely and Britt handled the extended warranty coverage tenaciously and completely.I very much appreciated the courtesy and professionalism of this car service center. Highly recommend the Aamco in Sugar Hill. Britt did a great job replacing my Transmission on my Jeep Wrangler. Although they were pretty busy, he kept me informed throughout the process. Unfortunately, right after I got my Jeep back, our Mustang had a problem and needed a new Rearend. We took it to Britt, and he had it replaced within a week. Now both our vehicles run great.I highly recommend this particular Aamco for their honesty and excellent work. Prices were very reasonable as well.Services: Transmission

I have cancer and have no air conditioning in my car. Going for chemo was dangerous because of that. A.J. and 1 of his mechanics came in on their day off to fix my car! Not every shop owner would do that!?

They rebuilt my transmission for a dodge ram. I have taken it back 3 times and it still has failed again.Update: AJ made it right. He is a great guy to work with. Very honorable.
