I don't usually write reviews unless absolutely necessary, but felt compelled to let others be aware and make an informed decision. I have been purchasing and feeding my dogs Merrick® Grain Free® Chicken Flavored Adult Dry Dog Food for quite some time without any issues. Last purchase on 10/31/2023 at PetSmart of Johns Creek (3630 Peachtree Pkwy Suwanee, GA 30024). Fed my dogs the food on the night of 10/31, and both my dogs are sick. I did not feed my dogs any other food or treats since yesterday. Went back to the store to return it, response from the "A Manager" (didn't ask his name), "Sir we can not take a dog food back once it is opened". I repeated myself, "how do I know if the food is good or bad without opening it and feeding it to my dogs"? Got the exact same response from "A Manager", and on top of that they gave a very valuable suggestion, "Sir, you can donate this food to some dog shelter or something". My next question to them, "So now you want me to make other dogs sick by eating this same food? Do you have any brain?" Same response, "I'm sorry Sir, once a dog food has been opened, we can not take it back.Pet owners beware: If you feed your dogs "Merrick® Grain Free® Chicken Flavored Adult Dry Dog Food", please use extra caution, and if you don't want to deal with "A Manager" who would be dumb enough to suggest to donate a bad dog food which made my dogs sick to some dog shelter, please do avoid the PetSmart in John Creek, GA (3630 Peachtree Pkwy Suwanee, GA 30024).

I ordered eye drops for my turtle from PetSmart online. When I picked them up at the Suwanee store, the box was wrapped in the receipt. (It was a small package, and the receipt was a full sheet of paper.) Before I left the store, I went to pick up something else, and I noticed the side of the box said “ear drops.” When I unwrapped it it turned out that they gave me dog eardrops instead of turtle eyedrops. When I pointed it out to the clerk, she walked back to the aisle with me and said that they were out of the turtle drops and asked if I wanted to receive a refund. Of course I wanted a refund, since dog ear drops are not going help my turtle’s eyes.I was upset that the website showed inventory when they were actually out of the product, but it was more disturbing that the employee/s in the store tried to give me a different, totally inappropriate product instead of calling me and telling me they were out. If this was an honest mistake, it was quite a big one. The reptile products are nowhere near the dog products. I had ordered the product the night before, and they were not busy when I came in the next morning to get it, so I don’t believe that contributed to the mistake.

The people are friendly but for almost a month they haven't had Medium Frozen rats. I just got done speaking with an associate and he said they were changing vendors and it will be at least another week before they get another shipment in. I have a busy schedule and can't afford to go shopping around finding who has rats in stock. My animals need food and this location has majorly dropped the ball.

This place only want to take your money and refuse to work on any dog with the slightest difficulty. They will make your refund the most difficult even when they cannot provide services.My dog is scared of grooming so I told the groomer that. The lady went straight to cut the hair on the face to test my dog. My dog did not react well so they told me that they can’t groom him. Other grooming places never have problems with my dog. I asked for a refund but they told me to come back to get a 3 months training on my dog so he can warm up to it.

Stepped in here with my kids to browse only. Really enjoyed ourselves with the good variety of pets and related products. Nice clean shop with friendly employees.

Their grooming salon is great and efficient! I used to go to another location and they would take more than 4 hours for my dog’s grooming. This place leaves my maltipoo looking great in 2 hours. Great service!

Ever since the new manager "Jennifer" took over the store really doesn't feel the same. A lot of workers I knew in there left very quickly. The whole atmosphere and friendly aura I felt just isn't there anymore. I will definitely be going to a different store from now on.

First off, my dog loves coming into petsmart. Its like therapy for her. Went out of town and put my dog in the pet hotel and the service was above and beyond. My dog was hesitant at first but warmed up quickly. She really enjoyed her private room. She even got a good exit bath. I will definitely use them in the future.

Always such a great location. Was picking up some dog food and bird seed. Have done dog training here before with a young Lab. This Sun Conure is a cutie if you know anyone looking for a bird. Have had a Conure years ago. She’s very docile and sweet.

Worst grooming experience. We booked an appointment online only to be called and told that they were already booked for that time and wouldn’t be able to take him and they moved it to the next day. When we showed up the next day and dropped him off they told us they couldn’t give him a bath or haircut because he wouldn’t stay in the crate. He went into the crate fine and then they said he wouldn’t let them close the door. We’ve never had any issue crafting him at home, the vet, or other groomers. They made us come back and get him and cancelled the appointment. It was obvious they just didn’t want to be bothered with have to groom him.

I understand that overnights is a rough gig, having done quite a few shifts in the past. But that’s no excuse for negligence of your job and colleagues. Joe at PetsHotel seems to think otherwise. While dropping off my fiancé, he let us wait in below 30 temp for half an hour. This is not the first or even second time this has happened. I’ve experienced this several times and have been told of more times beyond that, throughout the last year, where employees, the cleaning crew, and even clients are waiting outside and he doesn’t open the door. We rang the bell many times extensively and after the 6th time he finally came strolling out of PetsHotel without a care in the world. I can only imagine how many pet emergencies he’s ignored in his time there, as well. He’s either incompetent or negligent and neither makes for a good employee in general, much less when live animals are involved.

Pet smart is pretty good,l love how there is cats for sale.You can also get dog food and other supplies.We got two fish and two turtles.My favorite thing about the store is that there is stuff for all kinds of stuff for pets.I LOVE PET SMART !
