I went in for a large purchase on a Sunday (11/13/2022). There was only one person. I am no contractor. Just a homeowner looking to buy 40 gallons of primer, 10 gallons of trim paint and 30 gallons of paint for my basement. Off the bat, the person at the store was down right rude when I spoke with him. When I started asking him some basic questions since I don’t know much about paints, and he started acting really difficult. I couldn’t figure out what I did to antagonize him. My wife was standing next to him and I commented to her that he was been difficult and maybe we should head to a store that actually caters to home owners when he rudely interrupted and said to stop speaking under my breath. I was taken aback by the level of antagonism and rudeness shown by a service professional. When we started walking out he was yelling at us. I am appalled by his gall to do something like this to a customer: I have never come across someone who was so out of his depth been in a service job. I wish him the best and he may have been in a stressful situation but I plan to make sure I warn my network in the area to avoid this store.Update 11/14/22: a day later, I walked into another Sherwin William’s store in Alpharetta (Branch Dr) and an amazing associate (Santi) was able to help me place a $2.5k order. He was patient and advised me through all options and helped me select what I needed. What a difference a helpful and service oriented attitude can do to a store’s sales!
