My daughter has been wanting to take sewing lessons, but she was not sure she wanted to commit to classes without trying it first. This camp was the right amount of exposure to let her try classes to determine her interest. She was beyond thrilled from day one. She was excited each day to go and show off at the end what she learned. She says this is her favorite camp ever, and she has been exposured to many types of camps. This camp ousted horse riding camp out of first place which I never thought would happen!

What an Amazing Class! The Owner taught our Girl Scout Troop. She is gifted with the patience and skills to reach anyone with a will to learn. she is a very special teacher, the class was amazing and enjoyable. I will be back with my girls to enhance their skills.

If you have an interest in learning to sew then look no further than Ms. Courtenay. My daughter has been taking her classes for 8 months and even participated in the annual fashion show making a shorts & hoodie set and an Alice in Wonderland themed dress. The knowledge my daughter has gained in these months is well worth it. You will not regret taking classes.

My daughter attended a half-day sewing camp/class. I was a little nervous because my daughter can have a hard time in situations where it's a new place, doing a new thing, and she doesn't know anyone, but I needn't have worried; she had a great time. She made a bandana for our dog, and also came home with a matching bonus bowtie for her stuffie that she likes to carry around.
She said she wants to go back, which honestly isn't a typical response from her. Obviously, I wasn't there with her, but whoever was working with her clearly made her feel very safe and welcomed. So I'm thrilled to get her signed up for more classes and possibly a week long camp later this summer.

My kids had a great time at summer sewing camp. They loved the process of sewing and making bookmarks, stuffed animals, pillows and other cute crafts. They looked forward to camp everyday! My son said it was better than basketball camp! My daughter was a returning camper this year. Both kids want to do it again next year! Thank you for creating this fun, creative space for kids!

I took the Adult Sewing School basics class. It was a great experience. The environment was so nice and calm, and I learned a lot. Mrs. Courtenay gives all the basics you need to feel confident while sewing. I will definitely be taking more classes.

I took the adult basic sewing class at Threaded from heaven and it was awesome. I've always had trouble with sewing basics, especially threading my sewing machine, but this class made everything so much easier. Mrs. Courtney is super friendly and really good at explaining things. She showed me how to do everything step by step, which made learning a lot easier and fun. The studio has all the tools needed to learn. I would totally recommend to anyone who wants to learn to sew.

Interesting experience. Went into the studio for an event, but I got the impression that the event was just for making future money on enrollment rather than teaching sewing or giving a good experience. The instructor/owner felt stingy with knowledge. Every question I asked the owner was met with, “You need to actually join a class first.” The questions I asked weren’t complicated or difficult to explain, and a majority of the questions were because of the differences between my machine and her machine. The owner’s assistant, Ms. Amani, was very kind and answered my questions. It wasn’t a bad experience, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Excellent place to learn!! I received one-on-one attention. I was able to become more confident and comfortable with my machine. Learned simple but important techniques and also worked on my home project. If you want to learn about sewing this is definitely the place! I’ve had my sewing machine for 5 years and have used it for many small projects, but this for this larger project I needed help. If you are just starting or need specific help, Threaded from Heaven will be a great choice!

Our Girl Scout Troop really enjoyed the sewing class; most girls had no experience and were able to make a nice tote bag in the 2 hours class; they also received a Girl Scout pin. Courtenay was very helpful and accommodating with the booking process. They offer a lot of different classes and events, we highly recommend Threaded from Heaven!
