“Man! I went into this Dollar General today at lunch and upon entering I had to stop to take a look around to ensure I was at the right location. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE seen a Dollar General so smacking clean. I was so amazed that I went down every isle and even peeked in the store room door which was cracked-this was utterly amazing to me. As I approached the register an associate by the name of Tiffany Dutton was helping another customer. Shocking enough was that she acknowledged me and ensured that she will be with me shortly. Once she had finished she swiftly approached and lead myself along with other customers to the register. I had to applaud her and a young man by the name of Roger Padgett, they were the only two in the store and handled the customer flow with an honorable since of urgency.I told Ms. Dutton that I would like to do an review in regards to my experience, and guess what? she so selflessly provided her name and Rogers name. But wait... She even provided her Managers name Jennifer Sapp even though she was not present. This is the exemplification of an power team, one in which companies can only dream about. WOW!I don't normally do reviews, however this one stands to be talked about. “Came to this dollar tree two days in a row when I came out to Villa Rica with my husband on a business trip because it was such a pleasant experience the first time.
For one, it was the biggest store we both had ever been too. They had a HUGE selection of holiday items and items that you just don’t see in your average DT. And we’ve visited ones all over the metro area. To top it off the people that worked here were incredibly friendly and sweet and I wish I knew the name of the cashier so I could give her a shout out on here. But she checked us out both nights, and we were her last customers both nights and typically in the normal stores we visit in the city, they’ll lock the doors ten minutes early or give you the evil eye when your shopping and checking out ( I suppose because they’re closing and just can’t be bothered to check out ONE more customer out since it’s the end of thier shift or something, SMH). Anyways I wish all DT had this employee- she’s really what made the experience significantly better than my usual experiences shopping at this corporation and it was pivotal enough that I wanted to take the time to share my experience on here.
Also just to mention- because I saw a few reviews on this place being dirty and unstocked etc and that was just NOT the status quo of this store anymore; so bravo! On such a turnaround!”

This particular Dollar General is managed by Melissa Sims… Melissa and her crew do a great job of keeping this store well stocked clean and well organized. In fact I can’t remember ever seeing a better one. Can you tell me who don’t love a trip down to their friendly neighborhood Dollar General store or as I like to call it the world‘s biggest munchy store. they’re fun they’re fast and they’re friendly. OK you can scratch fast but they’re still fun and friendly so if you should find yourself out here in God‘s country and you have a hankering for some boiled peanuts and a yahoo then come on by and say hello to Melissa and the gang you’ll be glad that you did. Who says a Dollar don’t buy much anymore? Every day is a Dollar day.. at the Dollar General store.”

“Full disclosure: This store has been an integral part of my life for many years. Some residents of Villa Rica may not remember the town before Mirror Lake and the boom of commercial and residential building. When Villa Rica was nothing more than a single road going through town that fit the saying, "if you blink you will miss it." When the town's cuisine consisted solely of Ruby's diner and Gilly's BBQ and all of our shopping was done at the Family Dollar. Nestled in the town's oldest shopping center beside Big Buy (now Farmers Furniture) and adjacent to the Villa Theatre (now The Watering Hole) many a family would stop by on a Sunday to get what home goods they would need for the week. This is where I was with my two brothers on a cold January morning in 1989 following a house fire in which we lost everything. Dressed just in our pajamas a neighbor had taken us to Family Dollar to pick up some clothes and shoes since ours had been consumed by the flames along with everything else we owned. I remember the manager was so heartbroken at our condition she insisted on us having some snacks and drinks on her and I've always suspected my neighbor wasn't allowed to pay for our clothes. Years before this was the same Family Dollar my mother drug me back into so I could return a stolen pack of gum and face the wrath of the cashier, who did nothing except give me a disappointed look that was worse than the whipping my mom gave me later. Now as an adult I can come into the store and if I look really hard and squint my eyes I can imagine being there as a kid those long years ago. And while the store is still there everything else around it has changed. If you've been to the Family Dollar recently then you will note that the store is always very clean and organized. The staff seems to take great pride in the care and maintenance of the store and inventory. Unlike at the other dollar stores in town you won't find aisles cluttered with boxes of merchandise and leftover trash. Instead you will find clean aisles and stocked shelves. If you have trouble finding something the staff is always willing to assist, even if the thing you were looking for is right in front of you. I know I can always count on them having all the movie candy and Mtn Dew I need for those Netflix binge watching weekends, and don't forget the seasonal assortment of yard thingies that either make my yard the tackiest in the neighborhood or makes my neighbors so so jealous 😎. Finally, just by watching the interactions between customers and whom I assume is the manager I get the sense that she really feels the family in Family Dollar. The customers talk to her like they have all been old friends and it brings me back to the Family Dollar I knew as a kid. Sometimes I think Villa Rica lost some of its charm and innocence in the last decades of its growing developments, but then I think I still see it at the Family Dollar.”

“Temple, GA Dollar General has become my favorite Dollar General Store! It was a bigger selection of things to buy, and the employees there a very kind and friendly!”

“I had an issue with some fans that I bought. The first box was perfect. All the parts were there, the assembly was really easy, and it ran quietly just as advertised. I take out the second box expecting the same experience, but parts were missing. I go to the third box I bought thinking OK I’ll just take one back and will be OK. The third box was missing one important part that made a fan work, which was the motor. I took both back and explained that even though I could probably put an additional fan together between the two boxes, I did not want to take that chance given that meant that it might be used when I was buying new. Tom went and checked to see if they were any other fans of that type and allowed me to verify that all the parts were there before I left the store. He provided the discount and even threw in a desktop fan for good measure to make it right. He went above and beyond in helping me get what I needed. I have been a customer at the store for years, and especially after the care that I received today, I will continue being a customer at this establishment.”
