I walked into an Ingles store for the first time to do a little bit of shopping. First thing I noticed when I walked in was a spectacular salad bar. I mean, who wants to shop on an empty stomach, right?
I bought a salad. One fried chicken breast, and a small container of mac and cheese.
Salad was delicious. You really can't go wrong with a good salad bar. Build it your way. This salad cost me $9.97 (1.1lbs)
My fried chicken breast was old. I don't know how many hours ago they fried it. Some parts of it were tough like jerky, and others were still somewhat edible. There was no juiciness or flavor to it. It's like they've flour battered it. And then fried it. As an afterthought, sprinkled a little pepper on. All the flavor on this fried chicken came from the packet of Sauers hot sauce that I dumped all over it. $2.19
The mac and cheese was just pathetic. I took two bites and then decided I wasn't going to eat anymore. It was flavorless. I don't even think they used cheese when making this product. $2.84
I ended up eating my meal and then going back to my truck. I went shopping for some groceries later on in the evening.
Compared to where I live, the prices here are reasonable. The salad bar was worth it.

I mean for this location as a truck driver this place is invaluable. Prices were a little higher than what I’m used to for fresh items but frozen and staples very comparable. I will be back
