Thomasville Humane is the area's largest non-profit animal welfare organization, founded in 1970 by local advocates. The organization is dedicated to providing humane care for animals in partnership with the community. Since new ownership and management, the shelter has seen a positive transformation, with a strong focus on the animals' well-being. The staff is caring, knowledgeable, and works hard to keep kennels clean, ensure medical care, and promote socialization through play, outdoor time, and community events. The social media and marketing teams do a great job of helping animals get seen and adopted. Many volunteers and visitors praise the organization for their dedication, noting the love and pride evident in how animals are cared for. The shelter is appreciated for its helpfulness in adopting dogs and kittens, even during challenging times. Visitors often feel a deep connection, describing their experiences as positive and heartwarming, sometimes emotional, especially when adopting their "soul dog." Despite some negative reviews, most agree that Thomasville Humane consistently puts the animals' best interests first, offering a caring environment where animals receive the best possible care before finding new homes.
These folks are so helpful and make sure your animal is taken care of and ready for all your adoption needs. Absolutley adore them! I have already adopted 2 cats from them.

I really like this place but I’m crying now on my birthday because I was promised a cat since I was 5 and now that it’s my birthday I was supposed to get a cat only for every adult in my life to be busy so I couldn’t get my very awaited birthday gift
