This is a fantastic local mechanic shop! They were very informative and no one there was in a bad mood about the fact they were at work. Quoted me a price and because it took them less time, they only charged me for what they did. I would never have known how long it took. Integrity!! 100% amazing customer service! Called with an emergency situation and they told me they could fit me right in. They didn't have the part I needed, so they left to get the part! Never had someone go out of their way to help me like that before. Will definitely go back for any other issues I have.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This is the most expensive shop in Tifton Ga. They are rude and don’t care about customers. They do have a customer base and some local people will take there cars nowhere else. Look at all reviews. I’ve never seen any business try to explain a review away and try to make the customer wrong and them write. Anyone can go wherever they want to have there vehicles worked on. You have been given a honest review of this company. They also have the highest rate per hour in three counties. If you are a black person if they work on your vehicle you will be charged more than white. They are Christian people too and have no problem being hypocrites. I would give them a negative star if I could. I took my daughter to have her car to have tests ran and have parts replaced. When we finally were called to pick it up, the car did have the parts put on it, though there was still a noise, and the radio no longer worked. We called to let them know and was told to bring it back so they could look at it. That is what we did. They kept the car for a week longer and we never received a phone call until the day came to pick it up.When we arrived there was damage to the inside of the car and the radio still didn't work. When we asked for them to repair the damages they wanted to charge over 1000 to repair the damages they caused, on top of the 80 they charged for it to be looked at, and claimed the car was an older model and so brittle that the damages could not be helped and not their fault. Haha. That is NOT true. Now we had other mechanics look at it and they were in disbelief at what this small family business had done. Instead of offering to repair damages after being paid 2000 to repair my college daughter's car, they wanted to charge her to repair their carelessness. There was no reason for these damages to be done. After seeing these reviews and them claiming to be a small family business, they should be more caring than they are being it is a small family business. Not for it to be used as a defense for their carelessness. Now we have to pay another mechanic to repair the damages.Services: Electrical

I actually have been to your business and when I left, I had more problems than when i brought in my vehicle. It's actually sad that these small businesses end up taking advantage of customers and charging them an absurd amount in comparison to the work that was done. This gives other small businesses a bad name.

These people are not lazy they DO NOT PLAY! Class acts they are! They handle business and get it done! I know I called 20 times not one time did they give attitude or act like I was stressing them out, when they said they would call me back they were not lying THEY DID!!!!!! AMAZING Service! I have NEVER in all my years of driving and dealing with mechanics and shops have I EVER had such a positive experience! They have gained a customer!Services: Engine repair

My AC went out on my 2012 Mercedes-Benz. Dropped it off. Short explanation. Maybe insight to eBay or why. Very reliable and professional staff. Especially in knowledge of Air Conditioning. Got it done. Well below my expected idea of cost. Happy with it. Honest and upfront. Will continue bringing my vehicles here.

Abs warning light was going off on my jeep and I was over 300 miles away from Florida. This family was fast, courteous, and just the epitome of good business in a small town. I felt like part of their family. Even helped me get back to my hotel so I didn't have to miss breakfast ❤. They got me back on the road and I made it home without any other issues! Thank you ?

Our car broke down on our way to Kentucky, we came there on a recommendation. Lady was rude and insulting “You’re going to lose the car anyway.” We left, the manager came after my friend threatening physical harm because we were “disrespectful” to her. We just needed help so we can get back on the road, and we didn’t get kindness from strangers.Reading other reviews from other platforms, it’s very clear that this is a locals only establishment.PS We found someone that diagnosed it as a cooling system issue. You lost potential business because you were unkind and not empathetic. And rude.

To the negative reviewers... I have been using Grimes for 12 years, and three vehicles. They are honest, reliable, and fair. If you want Walmart cheap, or a dealer mechanic drone, look elsewhere. They are a skilled family business, they know about and care deeply for the safety of their customers, and will never do anything you don't need done. There is a reason they have been in business over 30 years and 2 generations... and I suspect years after your car has broken down because you went to a lesser auto mechanic. I recommend them to anyone.

We're in Tifton, where our car broke down. Someone recommended them. We told the lady what was happening, and she was rude and insulting. "You're going to lose the car anyway". Then the manager came after us telling us that we were disrespectful, threatening physical harm to my friend, when we were merely trying to get help. Rude as heck. It was obvious we weren't going to get any kindness from strangers. PS We found someone that was able to diagnose the problem. It was a cooling system issue. And no, we didn't lose the car. Thank you for nothing.

On vacation and truck broke down. Had to check out of hotel in a few hours and head 5 hours home. The diagnosis was the radiator. They got us back on the road in about 3 hours and took our warranty paperwork and we’re so kind. Highly recommend!!
