I can’t say enough about Cascades Inn. It was one of the most relaxing stops I’ve ever made and I will definitely be back. I was welcomed open arms and traveling alone. That was very special to me. Tammy chose the perfect room for me and Shawn made sure I felt welcome everyone that stayed there was congenial and we all gathered by the fire at night or by the waterfall to eat wine cheese, and tell stories. It was the icing on the cake for my trip. It gets five stars plus in my book. I hate to share it though because I wanna keep it a secret lol

The Cascades Waterfall Retreat in Tiger Georgia is a hidden diamond. I returned here this week after staying here in 2023. Now under new ownership, this wonderful gem has only grown brighter.
Nestled next to and overlooking a rushing north Georgia waterfall, this authentic and rustic paradise is simply amazing to behold. As I sit here writing, I listen to the soothing sounds of cascading mountain waters.
The Cascades Inn is located just south of Clayton Georgia and 25 minutes south of Sky Valley, Ga. Whether a traveler wishes to hike an incredibly beautiful north Georgia trail in the National Forest up to Angel Falls, visit Lake Rabun and boat its sparking waters, or play a round in spectacular Sky Valley, the place to stay and relax by your own personal waterfall is the Cascades Waterfall Inn Retreat.
The family owners and staff are helpful and hospitable. When you call to reserve, Tammy answers the phone and all your questions.
The prices are reasonable too!
If you want to enjoy downtown Clayton, Dilliard, Mountain City, waterfall touring (don’t miss the “Mud Creek Waterfall in Sky Vslley), and the local mountain culture, while temporarily owning
your own personal nature retreat, this is an unbeatable escape from our modern world into the silence and beauty of God’s Grandeur.

Crazy nice. Older but super clean.the mgmt.is so nice! Scenery is beautiful. I will come back when the ATL weather is too hot so I can bask in ice cold Tiger creek. My one negative comment is there is no way I know of to get to the base of cascade falls!

The first time my wife really stepped out of our comfort zone, to do something a little different. This was an amazing experience. So relaxing. This is one of those places you don’t know you need until you stay there. 10 out of 10, we recommend.

We all know it’s about the experience, and let me tell you that you will have a great experience here. First off I want to address some up the issues others had. I saw comments about poor bedding and cleanliness. I have two herniated disc in my back and had NO issues with the bed. Everyone has different needs when it come to their bed. The bed in #4 was awesome. Our room was recently remodeled and was beautiful and very clean. The views and sounds of the waterfalls just outside your room is amazing!! Let’s talk about the staff: our car broke down at the resort!!🙁 Mike the manager came to our rescue! Not only did he reach out to local mechanics for us, he also helped trouble shoot and FIXED our problem. Carol the cleaning lady even offered to drive us 80 miles round trip so we could get a rental car if needed!! Come on folks it doesn’t get any better than this! We will be staying here again and again!!

Quirky and rustic. Our room was clean but smelled musty(#9). The kitchen was missing a few things like a medium pot and a baking tray for biscuits. Weak wifi and minimal TV, just Roku. The setting was gorgeous and Mike was helpful and friendly. The lights at night were a nice touch. We went to Tallulah Gorge, Rabin lake, antique car museum in Clarksville and Foxfire museum I Mountain city. There was a cork screw attached to our TV, weird!

We booked this hotel as a way to get away to a quiet place with great views. We were not disappointed. The Tiger River runs behind the hotel and there are spectacular views, and the sound of rushing water was almost mesmerizing. The rooms were a little dated, but were very clean and comfortable. Staff was amazing! From helping us get checked in as we arrived a bit later than planned (I85 traffic!) to a quick friendly check out, we were immensely happy with the stay.

Call three times to book a reservation. My reservation was full and I was OK with that, but I wanted them to sell me on why I would like to come there we travel all the time we usually go out of the country but I wanted to try a place close to my son, which is Air Force Base in North Carolina. They all hung up on me.

Don't come with any plans for doubting the view whether it's night or day is therapeutic for visual and natural harmony of the sound of rushing waters 💧

A Hidden Gem You’ll Never Want to Leave!
The Cascades Inn Waterfall Retreat is nothing short of magical. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed like family by warm, attentive management who instantly make you feel at home. The views? Absolutely breathtaking no matter which direction you look, you’re surrounded by the serenity of nature and the soothing sounds of water nearby.
One of the most charming surprises? The local wildlife! Curious little squirrels scamper up without hesitation, hoping you’ll have a snack to share it’s like being in a fairytale.
As the sun sets, the property transforms under a soft glow of elegant blue lights, creating a peaceful and dreamy atmosphere you can enjoy long into the night. Whether you’re sipping wine on the porch or simply listening to the water, it’s the kind of calm you didn’t realize your soul needed.
The cabins are immaculate — cozy, spotless, and thoughtfully designed for relaxation. You can tell every detail was chosen with comfort in mind.
We left feeling refreshed, grounded, and already planning our return. If you’re looking for a true retreat one that feels like a hidden slice of paradise book it now. You won’t just visit the Cascades Inn, you’ll fall in love with it.

Mike the manager was the nicest, most helpful guy I have ever encountered at a little inn! He is a great down to earth person who is extremely dedicated to making your stay as nice as he can. This is not the Ritz Carlton… it’s a small town inn that needs to be appreciated for every heartfelt detail. I encourage you to plan a trip here. A small town is very close with great shopping and food as well. THANK YOU~Jovanna and Rob from Florida

I just visited Cascades Inn and waterfall retreat with my daughter and grandchildren. 16, 13 and 9. It was my grandchildren‘s first time visiting the North Georgia Mountains.
I could not be more satisfied with my choice of accommodations. We stayed in Cabin #1. It definitely felt like we were in a cabin in the woods. The trail on the property leading down to the water is beautiful and peaceful. This is a truly magical place. Mike helped us on the outdoor grill and we enjoyed a meal on the deck while meeting other guest. Also, we did the 45 min beautiful scenic drive to Helen,GA. So you can enjoy the tubing and mountain coaster in the area while staying here! I can’t wait to come back!!!!

This place is beautiful, peaceful, and cozy. We were in awe with the scenery. The room was clean and comfortable. Mike at the front desk was really friendly and welcoming. It was easy to walk down to the waterfall and water. We loved sitting on the deck relaxing and roasting marshmallows while enjoying the waterfall. We will definitely be back again.
