Laziest uneducated people I ever had dealings with I don’t even think they know what water is.

If I could rate zero stars I would! There is ALWAYS a water break somewhere and then your water is off for hours and hours. Literally water was off on thursday December 16th for hours! Stepson called around 1030am it didnt come back on until 2. its Monday december 20th and the company they hired to put in the new system hit a water main. It was 11am when I called to see the time frame. Of course they dont have a time frame. A couple months ago the Ga Power hit a water line and they couldn't find where. That took hours too. But they definitely dont give these customers a break in payments.

I typically post only positive reviews, if at all, but felt compelled to post a hard negative review of Chattooga County Water District 1, on the behalf of other consumers.A quick google search will reveal policies of systemic corruption coming out of this water department, including frequent overcharging of customers, failures to provide safe water, and neglecting consumer’s reasonable requests. I don’t hold out any hope that the issues will be rectified or anyone will be held accountable.I hate to be negative, But I am willing to put my name out there in order to inform and hopefully protect others from unsafe water and illegal business and billing practices. Ex: Water services were paid-up to date, and verified by the water department before I moved out of Chattooga County, to ensure I received the deposit amount I was owed at my new address. Instead of receiving my deposit I was legally entitled to, I received an additional bill for $6.37, with no charges or explanation listed.

I have been with Chattoga County water for 14 months. I moved to Trion from Dalton last year. I have had absolutely no issues. The ladies in the office are always kind and helpful, and super friendly. I'm not speaking for every customer. The way I see it is if you pay your Bill's on time and stop making excuses there would not be any issuesAlso, I have called the office a few times when we had no water or pressure and the phone at the office was answered the first or second ring.

It's a hassle to get ahold of anyone to pay your water bill. I've been calling for 2wks and I refuse to pay a late fee when the water district is at fault for not answering phones during their open hours! This is a monthly issue.

The "wireless devices" attached to the meter have made "lazy" meter readers! They don't pay attention to leaks. Even when you call them about one, they just let the water pour for days until they take a notion to address it. Who is paying for the "wasted water"? - The public, of course, that is the reason your bill is So HIGH. My bill for the month of October was twice what it would have been had the meter reader actually got out and looked at the meter "LEAKING". I paid that bill and repaired it Myself. I work pretty much seven days a week, so the following month, I never received My bill (is this gonna become the new routine to extort from the population?) which is My reminder and "que" to set up the payment through My bank, which is always done the day the bill is received. Yesterday, when I got in from work, the water had been cut off, no notice - just click. I can only assume they didn't get enough from the last time, so they didn't send a bill and now I guess I will be extorted from. The place was So Much Better before the pastor's wife passed away.
