I am, sad and distraught by the lack of care/ quality of staff and equipment this facility has to offer. Equipment (ie. MRI machines )not working when needed for emergencies is inexcusable. Upon hearing a dear friend suffer with a stroke and never received the care/meds in the 4 hr window to help alleviate any further symptoms is unacceptable. It's a wonder this facility is still operational and standing with all its many issues in the number over the years. The patients your facility cares for are loved ones, whether it be family or fiends; they are not a bed filler to meet your quota. I for one , would rather refer anyone needing a hospital to seek medical attention elsewhere.

My husband received excellent care at this hospital. The ER moved people through quickly. Staff was friendly and professional. The ER nurse was excellent. Explained things well. The doctor and the Hospitalist were great too. Based on our experience would highly recommend this facility and it was clean.

Our son is a diabetic and was in DKA. They got him taken care of in a timely manner as I drove five hours to get to him.

This hospital is simply bad. Its best hope is for a fleet of bulldozers. The ER looks like a 3rd world country. I can drive 2 hours to the Mayo Clinic (Outstanding!), be treated, released and drive 2 hours back to Valdosta faster than waiting 4 hours in the SGMC ER before even being triaged. Unfortunately, for most people in the area, the place is currently a necessary evil due to the shortage of all things medical. Poor health care is better than none.

I have not had to use a medical facility in a very very long time. This experience was exceptional to say the least. From the cleanliness, the food, the staff was knowledgeable and genuinely pleasant. I would sincerely recommend anyone to use this medical facility at any time. This was my personal experience in a 5-day visit and I cannot speak for others. In my opinion this facility was wonderful.

Literally the worst ER in the state of Georgia... wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Sick babies everywhere!! I came in running 103 fever around 8:30 and it's currently 12:00 and I'm still in the waiting area. Babies with fevers have been waiting 5+ hours and counting ... this is sad & embarrassing.

Worst ER I've ever been to...disorganized, unprofessional, and it took 4-5 hours to get seen. Nobody was getting satisfactory treatment as a person or patient.

I fell last night while skating and broke my wrist. Needless to say, I was in A LOT of pain! When I walked in the ER everyone was super nice and I was takin right back by a guy at the front desk named Andrew. I can't say enough about him! He made sure I was seen quickly and even came back to my room after my procedure to see how I was doing. Everyone was wonderful!

I went to the see the doctor to get my prescription refilled and not having insurance i paid my visit bill cash then and there. 2 months later they send me another bill for $35 . when i called them they said it was because i was sitting in the waiting room for 29 minutes the bill i paid was only a estimate. has anyone heard of such a thing. they find something new every day to charge you.
