I've known The Altamaha Animal Clinic when the location was on 280. Dr.s do make mistakes, their humans just like everyone else!. I'm cool with the point of a mistake or accidentally something happens during a procedure that couldn't be avoided. (OWN UP TO YOUR MISTAKES) In life to grow & learn,to grow into the best person God created u to be. 2st except your wrongs. Take responsibility for them.Nowadays I've seen businesses don't acknowledge any type of mistakes,if they broke something you're having repaired,or have your pet toe nails cut. If you screwed up be responsible & fix the issue, take honor in work work & yourself. Admit to it, fix it ,don't act as if you didn't do it or make excuses such as the dog's toe nails came off or to us seeing her. One was hanging out & another was off.Think about. If this happened PRIOR to them taking her to the back, blood would have been in my truck outside my truck all over their floors as we went into the clinic. The blood wouldn't have waited until you had taken her back to cut them to pour out. They should have buffed her nails to start with instead of manhandling her & cutting them. Dogs snatch. She's a rescue dog & already had issues with touching her toes. They new this. But still abused her in this manner. She screened & many times& I headed towards the room. A man stopped me & said she's fine she does need u back there. He stated, She doesn't like her nails cut. I told him she's never screatched & cried like this before. I told him ill go back It will help keep her calm. I used to go back with my animals.Well he wouldn't & when she came out she barely could walk. Bandages on 2 of her paws & them telling me she had pulled one off and one was already hanging when they took her back. "That's A OUT RIGHT LIE" BLOOD WOULD HAVE BEEN EVERYWHERE. ITS BEEN A Month NEARLY lady can still hardly walk. Her dispositional actions are very poor. Sh doesn't even wag her tale hardly, even for her treats, she's showing ( personality), emotional state & shows depression and she acts as if she's been punished. She looks at me like what did I do wrong mom. She can't jump up on her bed. She's lost all her spunky and playful attitude about her, she's appeared as if she's afraid to do anything dear she'll be hurt again. I have never in my 65 years seen such abuse & then try blaming it on the Owner instead of manhandling her like they did, a little compassion for her & letting me back could have prevented such horrible abuse and pain to her. I can't buff off her nails now to help keep them back ,she won't let me hold her paws like she used to. I work on touching them since I took her off the streets at 5 to 7 months old. She's been with me for 3yrs. This clinic has changed & isn't the same living care takers or not do they care about helping an animal see it will be ok.They aren't trust worthy to take a animal in a closed room without the owner. In the past I had always went with my animals to the back to help Dr. No problem at all. I've done Ives at home and many other procedures with the help of my vet. His input on how to do to help Kee cost down .strays were always thrown away at my place. 40 years & I've never seen what I saw there . Never again. PEOPLE BEWARE.TRUST US EARNED NOT GIVEN & @1 X I trust this clinic, trust was earned at the old clinic in 280 over many years. Nowadays some don't care about anything but $$$$. Please pray for the lady. I fear this has changed her forever. & NIT IN A GOOD WAY. SHAME ON YOU (ALTAMAHA ANIMAL CLINIC) IF I weren't God fearing person I'd sue the pee out of you. Believe me I'd win.

The staff was so kind and sympathetic when I had to have my cats to sleep. The waiting room was clean and separate areas for cat and dog owners. I will recommend this facility to others.

I was a nervous wreck and my Fancy acted like the princess she is. Surgery went well and I removed the stitches myself.,10 days later...she is doing great and will always have that Prize winning strut head and tail held high...thanks to all the staff who evidently are naturally accepted and loved by our babies.Fancy has never been touched by any other person her whole life and she immediately obeyed and behaved beautifully much to my surprise. I am grateful for all the people who are dedicated to these pets and volunteering personal family time to help supply professional services for anyone in need of medical care for your pet...I have no reservations about leaving my babies in their capable and loving hands...

Definitely come here if you want to be OVERCHARGED!!I prefer Kilgore’s Animal Hospital in Vidalia! She only charged me $400.00 for her annual vaccines, 4 tooth extractions AND a cleaning! She had to be put to sleep to do it.Dr Kilgore cares MORE about her PATIENTS than Altamaha Animal Clinic, who are more concerned about PROFIT!SAD BUT TRUE… we paid over $750.00 for an overnight stay (left all alone at night) and ONE tooth extraction at AAC- I’ll NEVER AGAIN TAKE MY FUR BABY BACK HERE! One last thing, they almost killed my dog when they botched up her surgery to be spayed! Imagine having your dog to almost die at home from hemorrhaging after surgery- and then they CHARGED us for 2 MORE office visits because of the doctors incompetence that he refused to acknowledge!THAT IS JUST WRONG ON SOOOOO MANY LEVELS!!Hopefully, this review helped you in making an INFORMED DECISION concerning which clinic is BEST for your animals AND your wallet.
