Yesterday 5/17/24 I went to Dollar General. got in line at the counter and we asked if we could use the self check out, lady replies no it don’t work. So we proceed to ask her if her register was open for service, she replied no it don’t work. So we wait in line for the next register. The person in line behind me was Caucasian, so she tell the lady ma’am I can ring you up right here. I was stunned for a moment because we asked for service twice. She passed up several customers, including us. She would not give us any service. That’s racism and disrespect. Before I approached the counter to get in the line. I noticed the lady just standing behind the counter doing nothing. The other cashier was doing her job. This lady refused us service twice. And only offered service to the one Caucasian woman in the store. Who was in the line behind me. I’ve worked many facets of customer service and have never mistreated or been biased towards a customer. That lady refused us service, that was blatant discrimination and racism. I’ll never spend my money there again and I will encourage my family and friends to go elsewhere.

Line at the register and self service needed a manager. Poor girl called 4 times and the manager was no where to be seen. Employee had to find manager to get an item voided and manager was rude to her employee. 0/10 for management. Very poor

Nice looking store with friendly employees. Easy in and out location off Hwy 44, sits behind shell station at the light on Highway Business 78. Prices the same as all DG stores, clutter and items needing stocked. Large parking lot, the outside of store looks nicer than some. Washington must be a boomer place for DG, two stores with a mile or so apart
