Tried to have the generator and voltage regulator from my 56 t-bird tested at the usual places...napa.. O'reilly.. auto zone...etc but their new automatic testers won't do any older systems if the part number isn't in the tester data base... Someone suggested Nick's. It doesn't have a spotless store or fancy displays but it does have people who know cars and electrical systems and believe in customer service. They tested my parts right then and there and tracked down the regulator that was bad ( not easy for a 60+yr old part). As a result they will be my goto for any future electrical needs for my vehicles.

My nephew & i are putting together an old ford truck we found. Trent makes all the decisions & arrangements, i run around & p/u or drop off parts. So, I drove from wildwood, FL to Baxley, GA then to Nick's in Waycross TWICE! When the top of the 1st motor was removed, a very nice & knowledgeable mechanic called to say we should use something different. Hence the 2nd trip. I made the 2nd trip & the very nice & knowledgeable mechanic spent nearly an hour with me explaining the issues with the 1st motor & discussing the process for the 2nd motor. before i could get from Waycross, GA to Blackshear, GA, the shop called Trent & told him that their help had quit & IF they could get to the motor work, it would be 3-4 months, IF! I had to go back to their shop on the same day- i had left wildwood, FL @ 4am & had been driving nonstop- & p/u the motors. The attached pictures are what they loaded in my truck. When i had dropped of the 2nd motor, the 1st one was still on an engine stand! IT IS NOW IN PIECES! When asked why i was not told about the work situation, Gordon tells me i had not talked to him! Nick, whom I did talk to, was standing right next to Gordon. "I can’t help that" was his reply!I was then told that i owed $100 for the privilege of making (2) 8 hour round trips & then returning to p/u my disassembled motor!CROOKS, THIEVES & LIARS!!!!!!!!!Service: Engine repair

Worst auto shop in Waycross or Southeast Georgia for that matter. Big big scammers. Not to mention only one shade tree mechanic. You can tell by what they drive.

Very poor workmanship. My car actually left in worse condition then it came in. Asked to be notified of any repairs they wanted to make before hand. First call I got was the call for the bill which had multiple things added to it which consisted of some very bogus and very crooked charges. The parts were around $58 dollars and labor charges were around $210. It took no longer than 30 minutes to put new part on and was a very simple procedure. Hazardous material charges (when nothing was disposed of), shop material charges (when all the materials where already charged on a seperate catagory, grossly overprice (140% mark-up) on parts. Not at all satisfied. Buyer beware.
