The auto parts store is good, but the fact that they have a machine shop also is great. The guy in the machine shop is an old dude that actually knows what he's doing. I took a set of very expensive rotors to another place, and they absolutely butchered them. I didn't think they could be saved, but the guy in the machine shop attached to Carquest did a top notch job on my rotors. For those of you who know the difference between a good job vs. a bad job when it comes to rotors will definitely appreciate his work. He cleans the mating surfaces. He does an excellent job cutting the rotors with zero runout. And, he sands/scuffs the surface a bit. This isn't the O'Reilly auto parts treatment; no, this guy gets it, which is a rare thing these days. If he'll take good care of my rotors, he'll probably take good care of my other stuff, too. I'm gonna use this shop a lot more in the future.
