Brought in a solid 130lb deer. Was a good shot. Everyone else was closed near us so this guy was it. Well there is a reason for that! I didn't read the reviews before going and I wished I would have. I recieved a 25lb sized box with 20lbs or less of meat in it. I said something when picking up and the lady didn't see anything written anywhere where there was a problem with the deer. I call when arriving home and was told my deer had an infection in the front leg and he had to throw it out. So 1 shoulder gone means I got about 20lbs of deer out of a mature buck ? I'm guess I got told a lie to cya themselves after reading the reviews.

Brought in a 180lb mature buck, got one box back with 32 lbs of meat. Half the meat was frozen solid while the other half was still semi-frozen, which made me wonder if it’s being mixed from new & old stock. Looks like many others on here experiencing the same thing.

I was very disappointed. I killed my deer at 9:00 in the morning. Brought the deer here around 1:30. Horrible customer service and said they can’t take a deer that has been dead that long. It’s cold outside and the deer was dead for 4.5 hours DO NOT COME HERE

Do not I repeat DO NOT EVER USE THIS PROCESSER. They are the worst place, worst customer service and when you bring them a Deer, you might get enough meat to fill a grocery bag. My deer was 100lbs on the hook and I mean I got enough to fill a grocery bag. Either they don't cut all the meat or as I have heard they simply take off some meat to fill another order and sell to make more money. Horrible business and DO NOT USE THIS PROCESSER.

I called 3 weeks before getting a deer to see how much it would cost his son picked up the phone and told me it would be $75 out the door for a basic butcher then when I got there I was told it would be more 75 to butcher and a $10 handling fee and a $10 skinning fee and 3.69 per pound for the ground meat and mind it i drove 35 minutes from home only because I was told it would be 75. I will say the turn around time was good.

They short you on the meat. Blood clots all in the meat and the meat tastes terrible. Switched processors and couldn’t be more happy

HORRIBLE PROCESSOR!! Show up to pick up my 5yr olds first buck a nice 9 point. Not only did they cut a chunk of the cape right in the middle of the brisket that may or may not be able to be mounted now. Then instead of calling and telling me anything or asking me how I would like my deer processed since the rear was “bad”. Which I have processed my own deer for years and it wasn’t all bad they just needed to be trimmed. They decided to take it upon themselves and grind the whole deer except the back straps. No streaks, nothing. Save your self the head ache and either do it yourself or take it anywhere but here. I will never use them again or recommend anyone to take a deer there for any reason. Now I have to explain to a 5 year old that they ruined his deer and we don’t even have one steak just a bunch of spaghetti meat.Horrible way to run a business! If I could I would give them negative 5 stars if possible. 17 rolls off of that bigger buck come on now. Neck roast, front shoulders…nothing. I would like the rest of my deer. I heard others complaining while I was there as well. So save your self the trouble and RUN!!!!!

I went here and dropped off 4 deer 3 does and a buck to be processed. They charged me up front which I thought was very strange, I waited a week came back and they said I had never dropped off the deer. This place is horrible and not to mention they have a fella who looks like Jewish fat Albert working there.

I just wanted to take a minute to say that so far my experience with these guys has been Awesome/ 5 star. This may be a little long but it needs to be said as I'm sure many of you have found yourself in this position before and because I've seen some negative posts about this company. My son killed a deer around 5:40 yesterday evening. By the time we got it out of the woods and in the truck it was around 7:00. We were about 45 minutes away from either of the 2 processors that we normally use up in Jackson county and so I called to let them know that I was on my way with a deer. Both said they closed at 7:30 and that they wouldn't wait past that time. What was really surprising to me was that neither really seem to care about me the customer and both were actually quite rude their stance. Anyway, the next call I made was to Custom Deer Processing in Winder and they couldn't have been nicer. I spoke to the owner and explained our situation. He told me that while they closed at 8:00 , as long as he knew that I was coming that they would wait for me. When we arrived we were met by Troy who was fantastic. He got the deer checked it and in the freezer in no time. The pricing was very good and their place of business was very nice and extremely clean. I'll make another post once this process is complete but from what I've seen so far I know where I'm taking all of our deer from now on!. Thanks to the Custom Deer Processing family. Its nice to see a business that actually cares about its customers!!

This is the second time I have used this place. First time I felt like I was short on the meat considering I brought in a 160 buck and got back maybe 40lbs. I got lazy after taking a nice doe and just decided to drop it here as it was late. I typically do my own deer but again, lazy and late. so 1 week goes by and get the pick up text. I come by around 7 the next day. Had to go around back to find anybody. door locked,open sign off. She gets my ticket, goes in back and says I need 7 to fill. Mind you this is the day AFTER my order ready call. So I got somebody else's meat as my sausage was frozen but ground was fresh. Come on!! I will never take anything back there again. I paid $110 on top of a gutting fee of $20! And still felt jipped on meat. never again. I suggest you find another processor cause these guys are just raking in money and giving back whatever is around. Or better yet, learn to do it yourself. I'm done using processors especially this one. 1 star because there are no negative ratings.
