The absolute worst customer service. We are new to Georgia and had renovations done to our house so we needed a 500 gallon propane tank installed as our property had never had gas before. Ferrell Gas is one of two companies that are certified to do propane tank installations in Monroe, and even though they gave us a quote that was almost $2000 higher, we thought it best to go with them because the other company was booked 5 weeks out. We spoke with Will who is over new accounts who gave us the quote and a install date that was only a week and a half out. Upon calling him to submit payment, I had to leave a message. In fact, my husband and I left a series of messages with him and also other coworkers trying to submit payment, but not one call was returned. Today is the day before the quoted installation date and I finally get through to someone and I explain to her the situation that we've experienced and after doing some research she says that our order was canceled because payment was not received. The young lady seemed like she was genuinely trying to resolve the situation but after placing me on a few brief holds the call disconnected and I did not get any call back nor could I get through again. I have never had to chase businesses to give them money before coming to Georgia. We have businesses on the westcoast and I don't know how they stay in business here conducting business the way they do. And since there are very few alternatives to go to, it's likely that it will never change.

We've been customers for over 10 years and are done with the very poor customer service. We have a property that requires us to be here when they come out to fill the tank. We prepay for gas and then wait weeks for them to come out and fill the tank with only 15 minutes notice, if we get any notice at all. Now you can't even get anyone on the phone to see if you are at least on the schedule for that day or week. Now they redirect you to their website, which is even worse since it gives you even less or totally inaccurate information. It's been a constant battle for a decade. Now we have opted to switch our last remaining Gas appliance to electric so we don't have to deal with them anymore. Would not recommend to anyone. Find another provider.

On December 20th, 2022, while considering my options for the pending cold snap, I called Ferrellgas to inquire about 100 gallons of gas and the delivery window. I found I could afford it and the window I was given ended December 28th which made it a reasonable option and I decided to go this way. I put my money in the bank and called them back and ordered my gas. I was never given a confirmation so I called back to confirm and was again told my delivery window ended December 28th. This information in fact is still listed as my delivery date on the website. I called back to inquire after the 28th if there was any idea when my gas was coming and if there was anything I needed to do safety-wise with my pilot lights if my gas ran completely out because they did not deliver by the weekend. I was told by a customer service agent that I was stupid for not ordering earlier. Let me be clear that 16% of my 300 gallon tank would have lasted me at least two months had I not decided to use my central heat because of the information I was given by Ferrellgas to heat my home during the cold snap. I would still have hot water and use of my stove and oven today. Yesterday the website said my order was out for delivery and was due to be delivered at 12:42 p.m. At 3:00 I called back to ask about this because it had not shown up and I was assured it was definitely on the truck and coming “today” (Jan 3). Today January 4th, 2023 the website no longer says out for delivery. I was told by a customer service agent that my gas was never out for delivery. However I have a picture of the web page that says it was as well as a recorded phone call with the agent I spoke to on the evening of January 3rd when it was supposedly out for delivery. The agent I spoke with today, January 4th 2023, told me she would forward this information to the delivery people and that they would call me back. I am not going to hold my breath on that. I would however like to know what happened to my gas that was supposedly loaded on a truck. Again, let me be clear I had several other options to heat my home during the Cold Snap and had I been informed more correctly. I would have chosen a different way and would still have use of hot water and my stove today and for many weeks to come. If at any point in tge pricess the delivery date was amended to reflect a delay, there were things I could have done differently- even at that point- to attempt to make it last longer. Furthermore, I did allow for the estimate to be a few days short- but not over a week. I am suspicious at this point that there is no process in reaching the estimate. While most of the customer service agents have been very polite I'm very convinced at this point that I am just being being given a polite running around. I also know that there are a lot of people in this situation who are far less able to handle it than I am and this could be life or death for them. This is ridiculous. Based on reviews, ect. That I am seeing all over the internet, this is common practice for this company.

One star. Y’all are the worst. My parents house just burnt all the way down and whoever is running your customer service was completely inconsiderate. Won’t ever be getting our business again.

Top 5 worst service! Will not recommend and will more than likely look for different gas company. So we only get gas occasionally for our pool. The tank is located on the outside of our fence behind a faux fence beside our house. Because lets be honest, no one wants to look at that. My husband called and prepaid for a certain amount of gas, simple enough.A week or so goes by and nothing. My husband called and the operator said a tech came out and said “the tank is inside of fence and they have dogs.” Operator sets up another tech to come out. (Issue #1, tech said the tank was inside fence, well they obviously don’t have eyes because tank is really easy to find and is clearly not inside the fence. Therefore dogs shouldn’t be a problem. Issue #2, no one attempted to contact myself or my husband, my husband only learned of this issue after he called.)Ok so another couple of weeks go by and no one has come to deliver gas. I call this time and explain everything thus far to the operator, she apologized for the inconvenience and would have a service tech out the following day. I said great, I’ll be home. Tech arrives mid morning the next day and just sits in his truck, he looked around maybe twice. I purposely stayed inside and watched tech to see what they did.. well they don’t!! He was about to drive away so I ran outside and pointed to side of house. He gave me a thumbs up. I stayed outside and he asked me if we were filling up the tank, I said that I wasn’t sure that my husband made all the arrangements that the tech would have to double check account. We finally have gas in our tank. Woo-hoo! (Issue #3, tech is lazy. Issue #4, tech should know before he leaves truck how much gas is needed for a job.)I thought everything was settled. We’ll I was wrong. I received a bill via mail from the gas company and did I mention it is past due. At this point, I’m livid. So I call for the third time in a month. Apparently I’m being billed for extra gas. Why?! I told operator I was not going to pay for a mistake that the tech is responsible for. My husband prepaid for a certain amount. The operator said she would send everything over to the management team and would call me back.. Well I’m still in limbo and haven’t heard back from the company.Hope this review helps not only the company but current and future customers. Ferrell Gas has the potential to be a good company but needs major improvements. I’m so glad that I don’t rely on gas for my everyday house needs or I may as well live outside where there’s no amenities, there would be NO difference between the inside and the outside. Thanks,A concerned customer. Also, they sent me a email with a link to write a review but it's disabled and takes you to nowhere land. Do they really want to hear honest reviews?
