“This store is very convenient for me!I love not having to go far to get the small things I need sometimes. The staff here are very sweet and polite. The manager is so sweet she always has a smile on her face and is ready to help you!One thing that sucks is when they close so early but I’m sure it’s due to being understaffed right now which isn’t that big of a deal to me because I completely understand:)But overall this is a great store so far!”

“Mr Ant was Awesome!! Very respectful, genuine people person, adjusted possible error on pricing; I would've mine paying the price rung up; if needed to, I explained and showed him picture of many items in same location with that price, he took care of it. Great guy and better human being, will definitely come here just because of him.”

“This store is seeing some major changes.
New manager Gabby is an amazing, hard working professional woman. I met her at another store and could tell immediately that she was manager material. She is hard working and serious about her job. You can see that her employees respect her and appreciate her. The sales associates are wonderful!! Every time I've been in the store everyone is working instead of playing as I've seen at several other stores. The first time I went in the store after Gabby became manager I will say it was a hot mess but it has really made a turnaround and I see it only getting better!!!
All of the employees have been giving it their all this past week and even now with the AC out (hope that is repaired soon since it isn't safe for them or us customers) Keep up the good work everyone!!!”

“Full disclosure: This store has been an integral part of my life for many years. Some residents of Villa Rica may not remember the town before Mirror Lake and the boom of commercial and residential building. When Villa Rica was nothing more than a single road going through town that fit the saying, "if you blink you will miss it." When the town's cuisine consisted solely of Ruby's diner and Gilly's BBQ and all of our shopping was done at the Family Dollar. Nestled in the town's oldest shopping center beside Big Buy (now Farmers Furniture) and adjacent to the Villa Theatre (now The Watering Hole) many a family would stop by on a Sunday to get what home goods they would need for the week. This is where I was with my two brothers on a cold January morning in 1989 following a house fire in which we lost everything. Dressed just in our pajamas a neighbor had taken us to Family Dollar to pick up some clothes and shoes since ours had been consumed by the flames along with everything else we owned. I remember the manager was so heartbroken at our condition she insisted on us having some snacks and drinks on her and I've always suspected my neighbor wasn't allowed to pay for our clothes. Years before this was the same Family Dollar my mother drug me back into so I could return a stolen pack of gum and face the wrath of the cashier, who did nothing except give me a disappointed look that was worse than the whipping my mom gave me later. Now as an adult I can come into the store and if I look really hard and squint my eyes I can imagine being there as a kid those long years ago. And while the store is still there everything else around it has changed. If you've been to the Family Dollar recently then you will note that the store is always very clean and organized. The staff seems to take great pride in the care and maintenance of the store and inventory. Unlike at the other dollar stores in town you won't find aisles cluttered with boxes of merchandise and leftover trash. Instead you will find clean aisles and stocked shelves. If you have trouble finding something the staff is always willing to assist, even if the thing you were looking for is right in front of you. I know I can always count on them having all the movie candy and Mtn Dew I need for those Netflix binge watching weekends, and don't forget the seasonal assortment of yard thingies that either make my yard the tackiest in the neighborhood or makes my neighbors so so jealous 😎. Finally, just by watching the interactions between customers and whom I assume is the manager I get the sense that she really feels the family in Family Dollar. The customers talk to her like they have all been old friends and it brings me back to the Family Dollar I knew as a kid. Sometimes I think Villa Rica lost some of its charm and innocence in the last decades of its growing developments, but then I think I still see it at the Family Dollar.”

“The store is clean and when there is nothing on shelves I am not even mad because the workers are so nice and hard working. Retail is very hard to do heck dealing with the public is a real problem. The store is also very organized and always SMELLS amazing as soon as you walk in. The manager Ms MO is the sweetest and always very welcoming. I always see her try to accommodate the customers. The staff is really great as well they are not lazy at all. Keep up the good work yall.”

“I wish I'd taken some pics of how a store should be organized and structured. Visiting this establishment must I say was "QUITE A DELIGHT".
1."HELLO", I felt welcomed to be a customer.

2. CLEAN & ORGANIZED! No items strayed in the isles, nothing out of place! Also, you could smell the CLEAN as entering the front door!

3. Public Restroom clean. Any customer that needs: Hand soap, Lysol wipes, paper towels and toilet paper was within reach!

4. Manager Brandon was extremely welcoming and most approachable. He was attentive and pleasant! Whatever Brandon, Amanda & their crew are doing AT THIS LOCATION, NEEDS TO BE HIGHLY IMPLEMENTED at your 4061 Anneewakee Rd. location!!!

Not able to remember the young lady's name that cashed out my sister but, she was MOST HELPFUL & CONCERNED. She'll remember me as "Sweet Potatoe Pie"???

We enjoyed our visit and this is my set store!”

“It's kinda small but it's because they have a lot of stuff... it's organized though. The woman there was working by herself...had to do everything on her own... that's stressful, but she was still very sweet regardless.”

“I noticed the Dollar General on Central Church has self checkout, I personally do not trust every customer to check out with out supervision, however they were trying to stock the shelves. That day they had everything I came for. Staffing is still a challenge at all the Dollar General's in Douglasville.”

“It's a very nice well-kept store I hope it stays that way it's hard for me to get through those doors because I have a walker most of the time they have stuff in the aisle when you can't get through this one seems to be well maintained”

“Decent prices and selection. Employees seem spread a little thin, it seems every time I go in there they're putting up stock and it takes them a few seconds to get to the register.”

“Very convenient to the house, great for quick pick ups. Best before 3 pm. Not enough staff after 4 o'clock. Recently the Ocean Spray products are not available . Staffing on Chapel Hill and Annawakie has improved. Old Riverside and 166/92 is questionable.”

3.4 Good85 Reviews

“They are not only improving but seem to be better stocked than Wal Mart on some items. Also, they offer delivery through DoorDash which I will always be loyal to for being there when the world was at its craziest in March of 2020.”

“The store was a little disorganized but otherwise exactly as you would expect. And the cashier seemed friendly even though I couldn’t hear what she was saying.”

“Great store for a quick &inexpensive shopping visit. Compared to many other dollar tree stores I've been to, this location had a much wider variety of items to choose from (in all departments). Also, the staff here does a wonderful job at stocking the shelves frequently, unlike many other dollar stores I've been to. Highly recommend this store for anyone needing to have one of those get in and get out shopping trips without spending too much money.”

“General dollar seems to always be under staff. Although the staffs there are the sweetest people but the place is always in a disarray with boxes all over and stuffed shelves. But they always have that last minute thing you need before your folks come over for dinner and the price is decent. You get what you get.”

“There was a shoplifter that got stopped while I was there. The manager handled it calmly but the customer was pretty ugly. 0therwise I found everything I needed and some I did not. The limited edition Hostess cupcakes S'mores flavor are the bomb!”
