Worthless customer assistance employees. My third time going in this place and I yet had anyone helped me. I walk around the store and even up to the front seeking assistance but when employees are done helping customers at the register they seem to just ruffle the fabric on the rolls and stray away from me. Maybe because I'm a man in the store I dont know. Very annoying when shopping for something and can't find assistance.

Covid is here....and I'm doing my best to keep us safe...Project today....materials n supplies for more home made masks..my go to store is FABRIC MART-located behind Cutter Ford in Pearl City....it is basically "Fabric Heaven"....with bolts of beautiful printed fabric..enough to make you go dizzy...I usually walk in with specific intentions of purchasing a Few pieces of fabric/supplies...but characteristically will buy more...eh! No worries I use them all..no matter how many Years it takes me! Ha ha ha! (You too huh!?!) so I'm cruising up n down the aisle making my selections(there's a helpful clerk who will pull the bolts for you) .....this is me,"this one, this one, oh thank you, this one too"....alright I'm done choosing....now I'm looking for this special item u attach to the elastic for adjusting elastic over ur ears(hubby's request), A friendly clerk Rea finds it and recommends a special tool to slip elastic through easier...yes! Mission accomplished...Rea totals up my purchases and thanks me for shopping there!! 4* Covid Protocols: upon entering the store, Self check temperature stand reflects ur temperature n announces it/all employees are masked/markers on the floor for safe distancing 4* Store Appearance/product availability This store is consistently maintained neatly. 4* Customer service/the clerk who pulls fabric for you is always willing to help pull the heavy bolts for you(thank you!)/ cashiers-clerks..pretty focused on the job, Rea was exceptionally friendly and willing to demonstrate the supplies I needed Note to Mgr: Covid has made lots of us pull out the dusty sewing machines and amp up our sewing skills. Thank you for keeping us stocked w/massive amounts of beautiful fabric for our mask production(friends, family etc) Big Mahalo to your staff. Stay safe!

Started sewing again during quarantine and found fabric for all my projects here! No selection of cool geometric patterns, other patterns, simple stripes, dots, checkers, black and white patterns or neons, but bought whatever I could find and turned them into masks. Their appointment app works really well when we needed it during lockdown, and think it could be a model for other stores to follow. In our current tier, we can go in without an appointment and simply scan your forehead for temperature and sanitize your hands before shopping. If you ask nicely and they're not too busy, they'll help with bringing large, heavy rolls of fabric buried under other large, heavy rolls of fabric (that only I seem to want) to the counter. Their thread rack is pretty limited these days and they're always sold out on 49ers fabric for my hubby. Their checkout line for cutting fabric is a bit tight and kinda dark and creepy between wall and tall standing rolls of fabric, but at least customers are 6' apart with floor markers. Sew far sew good!

10-27-2020 searching for Hawaiian Christmas prints? You might want to view the few bolts they have here. BUT if you need more classic Xmasy fabric it's not available here. I asked one of the workers, where's your Christmas material? She said, We didn't order this year. We have little bit WAY in back, 2 nd row and she walked away. I looked aimlessly and 2 employees must have seen me looking dumbfoundedly lost, which second row??? In need of help like a kitten out on a limb, I was never asked, Can I help you? Finally I found one Piglet panel Xmas bolt but it was not what I was looking for. Walking back to the front of the shop and seeing a different worker leaving the fabric checkout station I headed toward her...Excuse me, do you remember seeing any penguin material ? We have, she replied. You do?! I excitedly exclaimed in hopeful anticipation. Then she says, we sold out. Awww- shuckins...my joy deflated like a punctured tire... One star for must wear mask to enter. Second star for hand sanitizer by register. Third star for contactless temperature scanner BUT it's not located close enough to the entrance/exit door. Someone could easily enter bypassing the machine. If you are close enough it will say LOUD and clear: NORMAL... how shame if it wasn't!!! Glad the long lines to purchase fabric and elastic for masks was not there when I went. You really need to have lots of time on your hands or must know where things are located if you choose to shop here.

I feel as if they have a pretty good selection at decent prices. Not that big name store on the mainland but as close as we're going to get. The workers are great too!

I so appreciate their helpful order and delivery by mail service especially upholstery fabric. I'm Canadian and the quality of their fabric would cost more than double here even with the exchange and shipping costs taken into account.

I go to fabric mart a lot of the time ... so I'll rate it a 4 . I don't know where else they have fabric. I give it thumbs up for selections of fabric,. I wish they carried more of the scuba type of material. Customer service is average not the best or not the worst. Going in is fun but waiting to leave sucks. The line can get long, it moves along but not quick and no air circulation where the line is formed ... so need to make sure you keep some distance. So I been to this place several times now. My complaint is how they handle the ringing up with there one person doing the register, it's so old school. So the person cutting your material and the person ringing up your totals may not always add up. Okay it happened once before I let it go because I don't want to complain if I go there often, but today just made me think twice now of how they add stuff up. The ladies who ring you up could add addition items if you don't pay attention to what you bought. I'm not sure if it's intentional, but it's a good thing I stopped to read my receipt in my car and was wondering why I was charged an extra two items which I did not get... that was 4.99 for each ... so I was charged a good 10 bucks for something I did not have walking out of that store. I went back in to let them know.they did correct it by giving me an option for a refund on it or taking the extra two items which I did. So bottom line is pay attention to how much your items are and how many your getting because mistakes can happen. They either do it by writing down what you bought or memory... human error with plenty of items is very possible especially if the girls taking your stuff did not write it down.

This store has been a lifesaver during the pandemic. As an essential worker, I had to work when there were no masks, so went here for fabric to make my own. Service has been good and they've adjusted well to the volume caused by Covid.

Great selection is great! But the many stickers on the ground is confusing as to where to go for help! The service attendants aren't very helpful in letting you know proper flow. Terrible!!!when I asked where is the line, no one answered. Then someone told me I needed to go to another line. Evidently the circle I was standing by is there for nothing. Since 1 line is pay and one was cut/pay.

Went to Aiea location for mask supplies. Long line to get in and checkout. I waited 15 mins to get in but when I left the line wrapped around and pass the building to get in. Checkout line went all the way to the back of the store! Inefficient checkout and horrible working/environmental conditions. This is a warehouse with NO air conditioning. It got really hot while I waited to checkout. The warehouse is dusty and some of the fabric is stained. I gave 1 star for the crowd control since they are compliant with 6 ft distancing due to COVID-19 and aren't allowing it to get overcrowded in the store and another star for being open and having elastic and fabric in stock even though some of the fabric appears super old and dingy. The customer service here is basically nonexistent until you checkout. Workers seem to dread being there. My suggestion to improve checkout would be to have more than 1 area for fabric cutters and more checkout stations/registers. Do something to facilitate quicker checkout please!!! Another note to add, the online shop is not regularly updated. Website said elastic was out of stock but it was in stock at the store.

Recently because of the coronavirus and stay home rule, our family has been online and shopping for necessities. When we needed fabric to make our masks, you folks had a large variety of fabric and a wealth of knowledge with recommendations as well. We just wanted to say thank you for giving such great service.

Ordered fabric online over 2 weeks ago for curbside pick up and have not received it yet! Their website indicated it should take up to two weeks for online orders to be fulfilled. I haven't even received a follow up email and unable to leave a voicemail because it's full. And whoever does their website misspelled their email address. I'm pretty pissed and wish I could go down there and complain.

Glad I started my visits before things got crazy! People waiting in line for insane periods of time... That's just bonkers! Now the website allows for scheduled appointments. That's much better than the herds waiting outside. 20 minute visits, so know what you need ahead of time. The selection was great. Now it's definitely harder to find more specific colors or prints you're looking for. The oriental fabrics are definitely my fave to browse. I'm not a very creative crafter, so I stick to basics. I've purchased a couple of different thread colors and types. All have worked out well for what I've been up to with my crafts. The price is good too. The workers are stressed, I'm sure. But they're doing a great job taking care of everyone. People just need to be more understanding during this pandemic. I haven't had any problems. Hopefully as the weeks progress, the stock will be replenished and we'll all be able to get the items we need quickly and easily. I'm definitely going to continue visiting this location. It's the closest to home and the layout is easy to navigate. Lots of parking nearby too.

Would definitely AVOID ordering online from them until they update their inventory system or this covid-19 mess blows over. Placed an order on 4/15 , card got charged 4/21, was informed they would work on my order within a couple of days, then received an e-mail on 4/27/20 that they cancelled my order due to every item I ordered being out of stock. Order wasn't very large, either - total of 7 yards of fabric. They are definitely not able to keep up with their online orders right now so set your expectations accordingly.
