The fruit stand is very dirty and run down, little to no variety of produce; When the servant (a blonde woman) was asked if she would be able to cut a pineapple for our group she made a racist and derogatory “joke” about Californian Mexicans and their fruit stands.

This fruitstand is quite the experience! They have great local fruit for a reasonable price.

Terrible experience at Cooks Bounty Fruit Stand in Kona. I politely asked for my coconut to be cut, and the seller threw it into a ziplock and tossed it on the street. Completely rude and disrespectful. To make things worse, she also told me not to drink the coconut water from the nearby fruit stand, attempting to undermine their business. I won’t be returning—and I strongly advise others to consider supporting more respectful vendors in the area.

Love this fruit stand! Me and my friends stopped to see if they have lychee, and although they didn’t have any yet we got some delicious mangos and dried bananas (highly recommend them they were so soft, chewy and sooo fresh ). While helping us pick out the ripest fruits, Catherine gave us some tips and stories of her experiences on the Island. She was the absolute and sweetest and funniest woman. We love you Catherine!!!!!!!

Cook’s Bounty Fruit is a lovely spot to visit! Katherine was so helpful and took the time to tell us about the fascinating history of the old Kona Theater. We really enjoyed chatting with her and learning more about the area. Highly recommend stopping by!

I love stopping here as there always seems to be an interesting rotation of tropical fruits. Their lilikoi butter is delicious too!

Left a bad taste in my mouth, literally.
Lady was super chatty, as other have noted, but came off as high pressure sales pusher. Flavors advertised were not available and mentioned the fruit smoothies were made to order but using concentrate. Wasn’t a bad smoothie but nothing special, not worth the $10 for what it was anyway.
In chatting she discovered it was me and my wife’s 1 year anniversary and offered a small jar of honey. At first I wasn’t sure if she was trying to convince me to buy it for my wife until she pushed it into her hands and told her to put it in the car before the boss came back. Didn’t sit well with me. But I let it slide.
I asked if she had any white pineapples. (Special fruit for a special person / occasion) She said she’d have to go into the back to grab one and then proceeded to hand my wife a yellow pineapple. I asked again for a white one and she said no it’s yellow… she then switched it out and placed a different, over ripe yellow one on the scale… noting the bottom was soft, she indicated to just cut off the bottom inch or two and that she’d give it to us half off. I didn’t stop and inspect it myself, which was a mistake.
Got back to our place. The fruit was 3/4 rotten. And basically inedible. They bait and switched us for a different flavor of smoothies from concentrate, gifted us stolen goods, dismissed my request for a specific, premium fruit, and sold us a rotten one. We got taken.
My wife and I now have agreed on a sign to communicate to each other that No, we are NOT buying / something is off. That is the best thing we got out of this transaction.

Stopped here on the way home from Kula Kai Caverns. The woman was lovely. She chatted with my 10 year old and answered his plethora of fruit questions, gave us great deals, and even offered to take out pic at the fruit stand! We will definitely be back next time we visit

Our favorite fruit stand! They have everything from pineapple to apple bananas to coconuts, breadfruit, papayas. Sometimes even passion fruit depending on the season.
