He didn't even look at the car, so he charged $170 for the inspection, and then said he wanted to replace it with a new refrigeration unit. I felt like this was a shady shop.

Hi tech is a rip off. 2 days ago they charged me over $ 600.00 dollars to replace the power steering pump only. Then 2 days later when I took it back because it was not running right. They charge me $864.00 for a simple tune up. They also marked the price up for Napa parts. Kauai don't do business with these people

If you go here, the one running safety checks is foul-mouthed, likes to make fun of customers and make all his co-workers laugh at your expense. You will get your safety check but be ready for this.

gave me one item to fix for saftey check, brought it back to have them list more items that they didnt list originally and that werent even on the check list the first time around or out kther two vehicles. They will fail you to get you to give them more money for random things and then fail you again. scam and abusing the system. we have 3 vehicles and will not be coming to this mechanic EVER again.

Great and honest mechanics. They ended up fixing my old school 1986 Toyota pickup. Did an awesome job repairing the transmission seals and it was super quick straight to the point. Would recommend them to anyone as the most reliable mechanics on the island of Kauai.Services: Transmission

Awesome shop. The guys really know that they're doing and keep things in the yard in terms of price. Most of the dealerships tend to be brutal. Glad Hi Tech is there doing their thing!

Probably my new go-2 for safety checks from now on. Wasn't sure if It was because I was there early (9am) but they were really fast and professional and even better none of that by appointment only BS like every other place.
