Hair done! By "Precious" @ Fantastic Sam's Ewa Beach. All the stylists there are beautiful inside and out and have been there a long time. #never disappointed!

Never coming back. Terrible! Made appointments for me and my daughter, but it didn't matter, they made us wait 40 minutes, and STILL were taking every walk in before us. I think it was a race issue, all the walk ins were locals and we're not. Can't believe my 4 y.o. had to experience that behavior. Don't go here!!

Despite the unsettling reviews, I actually came to this location for a woman's hair cut that was MUCH needed as I felt like it was a DIRE on the spot emotional emergency at the time. Long story short, I was almost 7 months pregnant suffering from "all day" sickness and was tired of throwing up with hair getting in my face, and my usual hair stylist was fult booked. #MamasCanRelate HOWEVER. I was so happy I came and it was worth it! Coming during a summer month, I called this location upon opening to see if they had an available appointment on a Saturday same day. Their first available opening was at 1 pm, and I immediately booked it. Located near Ewa Beach Longs, McDonalds, and the Ewa Beach Post Office is where you'll find this Fantastic Sam's. Ample parking but can get tricky with the no left turn immediately in front of the location, and you have to park in front of Longs and walk over (not far). Upon entry, I was greeted right away by the young receptionist, and she checked me in. I came 10 minutes early but wasn't taken in until 10-15 minutes after my appointment. At that time, there were only 2 hair stylists available as it seemed as one called out. The hairstylist that took me was a filipino lady, curled hairbwith colored strands towards the front, well dressed in heels. I wish I had remembered her name, but she was kind, warming, and listened to what I wanted. She does live in the area and only works there part time. My hair length was down to my lower back, and I asked her to cut above my chest area with long layers. We spoke a lot during my hair cut so it never felt awkward with silence and she made me feel better about myself as she noticed I've haven't done much for my "self care" and that I was having a rough pregnancy. Along with a fantastic cut that took about 30 minutes, and she also styled for me without me requesting, I left the salon with a confidence boost and a better morale for my day. I also found out that she stayed later after her shift to take care of my appointment. My woman's haircut with long layers cost $45. I understand that sometimes the salon itself is never where you get the "bad experience", your hairstylist is what makes or breaks it for you. If you get the lady I had. You'll be satisfied with your visit. Wish I remembered her name though! (Blaming my preggo brain at that time! LOL) Side note, before me, she did a men's cut as well which looks fairly good too!

Joann sucks!!! Do not go to her. She talks so much shit but does not deliver. She does not listen to what the customer wants and does what she wants. I listened to her talk 3 customers out of what they were asking for. I'm very disappointed with the service she provided my son. First, she foiled his hair but there were barely any results. Secondly, she colored his hair. Then, she cut his hair, cutting most of the color off. It was a terrible haircut. The only way to fix it is to wear a hat. She needs to learn how to listen and stop talking. She also needs to go back to school because her recommendations were awful. This was a hard $100 mistake to learn. Save your money and select a different stylist.

I decided to get a haircut after work since I got off work a little bit early. Walked in, and there was practically no wait time since it was mid afternoon. Sat down with the stylist (filipino lady with pink/red hair). I explained what I wanted, and the small talk started. And right away, I could feel the "bad energy" from her. She was very rude, condescending. First she asked me if I was done with work and I explained yes, I told her my meeting finished early so I decided to go home early and finished whatever work from home. And she goes on a rant about passion and judged me on my career choice since I explained to her I was in medical space. And then she asked what my wife did and where we lived. I told her my wife was also in medical space and we lived in the Hoakalei area. Then she goes on a rant about it's not all about money but about pursuing your passion and happiness. I told her it depends on our perception of the world and the goals we have in life. And then she gets defensive and says she doesn't need money to be happy. But I tell her everything we do is dependent on some sort of financial transaction, and her working there is based on that. It's hypocritical to say all those things while having pink/red hair, makeup, designer name brand clothes on, designer bag, designer jewelry, and designer heels on. LOL. I'm there to get a haircut not to have a debate on socio-economics.

Location: 91-919 Fort Weaver Rd. Assisted by a very fashionable filipina w/pink hair. Appeared to know how to complete a simple cut. I left with half a cut that I had to fix on my own at home. There was no point in explain anything to her, she was looking at me, but it was as if she was blanking me out. I know she can be cheeful and pleasant, as this wasn't my first visit, its just the first time she's cut my hair. She could have just been having a bad day. Whatever it is, I will not be returning. I still paid full price for half a cut and for some dumb reason, i still left gratuity.

Rude stylists with horrible service. Won't even listen to what you want. Only cares about getting you off that chair to get another one on. Result was an uneven, unwanted haircut.

Got there albeit 3 minutes late to my appointment (called ahead to let them know I was running a few minutes behind), thankfully stylist was still finishing up with a customer. She finishes up with existing customer while another client comes in, whom I assumed is good friends with stylist and says to them— “there might be two people ahead of you because I see someone..”To my surprise, she proceeds to invite this client who JUST walked in to get a haircut. Client asked if that was okay since he saw people waiting, and I get bumped an appointment without letting me know. That is highly unprofessional! Why have appointments when you can just bump people off willy-nilly? I’m sure she has a lot of clients but come on, treat every customer fairly.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I called to make an appointment for my daughter. The receptionist stated they don't have any appointments but I am welcome to walk-in. Gave me a wait time of a half an hour. Got there and checked in at 1pm, which the receptionist said AGAIN that the wait will be a half an hour. Well 2 hours go by and we were still NOT seen! The hairstylist said to everyone waiting "WALK- IN's WE'LL BE RIGHT WITH YOU, THESE ARE APPOINTMENTS!" In which she then said to her client " I wish I had an assistant but this is fantastic Sams!!!!". Are walk-ins treated like they aren't real clients??? Not as important!!!! I get you have appointments!!! I was there when you took all the appointments that came after me!!! My issue is that you told me the wait was A HALF HOUR!!! If you told me the wait was going to be OVER 2 HOURS, or it could be a half an hour or longer, I wouldn't have wasted my time to come as a WALK IN and would have come another time and scheduled an appointment!!! I've come here multiple times and even with appointments you still have to wait, so I didn't think going as a walk in would matter, but today I was treated like lesser of!!! I ended up walking out because I'm not going to sit there while you continuously say you will be right with me while taking other people after!!! It's like my time didn't matter!!! This place just lost my long time business!!!!!
