Great place to volunteer! Animals were all rescued from sad circumstances. And all of them are friendly & living their best life here. The founder has done a fantastic job!!

We volunteered here and so got the tour for free. The location is nicely maintained and very beautiful. The animals are all friendly and fun to feed. Our 12 year old son loved this.

I loved my volunteer experience here in fall of 2022. It's a beautiful drive from the west side where I was staying. There was only one other volunteer the day I went so it felt extra meaningful. Our guide had us do many things from feed the animals to till the land. They do provide items like gloves, boots and farm tools. If you do work in the areas with the jack fruit trees, be alert as they fall easily and I almost got knocked in the head by one! Leilani Farm is great for individuals, couples, or families with kids. The farm itself is incredibly beautiful, and it felt good to put my time into keeping it that way. The bonus? If you're an animal lover like me, you get to interact with them as they wish. I fell unexpectedly in love with Lehua the donkey. Other animals I loved on or interacted with include pigs, a cow, guinea pigs, cats, rabbits, and tortoises. I can't wait to go back and volunteer again some day and urge you to, too!

We‘ve been to Leilani Farm Sanctuary for a Tour and we can tell you this place is paradise!! Happy animals, nice people, wonderful nature and exotic plants everywhere. They do such an important job and work selfless for the „unwanted“. Thanks so much for giving those animals such a nice home ❤️PS. our guide was so so nice and explained everything very well, also after the tour she answered all our questions and talked with us for a while. Thank you so much!

Amazing farm sanctuary, tour was very detailed and interactive with all of the animals on the farm. It was very clean and every animal had many resources to live a happy life. Highly recommend for anyone visiting!

I myself love animals and like to get engaged, but found the whole experience off putting as it basically amounted to following a grumpy woman’s around on her feeding schedule while she monologged passive aggressive statements about the animals past and the guests alike. Not worth $50/per person for our 4 person family.I was surprised by the guides lack in enthusiasm and clear frustration. Serious mood killer when one nice woman dared ask a question. The guide actually said “I explained this earlier…” and let it hang in the air.The guest was kind enough to apologetically explain that she must have been focused on feeding the previous animal, but never did get a real answer. In another situation a guest was asked if they wanted to hold a chicken and hesitated, taking a step back shaking her head saying “oh, ummm” before the bird was thrust at her. Thankfully she seemed to deal with it okay. But it was awkward for me as a bystander.

We visited the farm in the middle of March. What a treat!! Our guide was wonderful. She took us all around the farm and provided a lot of information on the animals and their background. The animals are very well cared for here. You really feel at peace when visiting. We got to cuddle cats, chickens and helped feed the goats. My 7 year old nice absolutely loved it! Also, our tour group was small (10 of us total). They even let you stay afterward if you like. This place is worth the visit. We stayed in Lahaina but made a day out of it by visiting the Maui Pineapple farm first and then a stop by delicious food trucks by Costco on the way back.

What a story of love to protecting so many animals. Appointments required for a one hour guided tour of the property near Haiku, Maui. $50/adult but fee goes to a good purpose. You can feed, pet recued critters from a cow, donkey, goats to chickens, gunnie pigs and cats.

Such a beautiful, magical place. I am so glad these sweet rescued animals get to live out the remainder of their lives surrounded by love, nature, and peace.

When you get to Maui go here first, second and last. This is such a fun and cool place. We had a great time. The founder, Hosts and mostly the volunteers make this a special place and they do such good things here. The animals are the best part. There is every kind of cat you can think of. The animals are very well cared for with much love. I will be back every time I return to Maui.Don’t hesitate to call, email and book a tour or volunteer for a day. Thank you for doing what you do on your farm. I loved this day on Maui.

The animals all appeared happy and very well cared for. The mission of this program (to rescue neglected, abused, or factory farm animals and promote the notion of a vegan diet as being good for the body, planet, and animals) is great. The only reason I'm not rating my experience at the the farm higher is that the tour guide we had nearly ruined my experience. She roughly picked up the cats and thrust them at us saying "hold a cat". This made me uncomfortable as I'd rather approach a cat and let it sniff me, then pet it. I would never roughly pick up a cat I didn't know for fear of distressing it.During the tour, she ignored questions myself or my travel partner asked (such as what diet the animals ate or what made her decide to become vegan) or rudely told us now was not the time to ask questions. She rushed us through the experience. I felt I had no time to interact with the animals before being whisked away by her. She was also in credibly condescending. She spoke as if from a script in a very passive aggressive manner. She pretty much ruined the tour and experience for me. I'm a vegan and this was my first time visiting a farm sanctuary. I was excite, happy, and had a few inquiries. I was greeted with hostility and a rude brusque attitude. It was very disappointing.

We booked this visit on a whim for our last full day in Maui and I'm so glad we did. From the moment you walk up you are greeted by the cutest chickens and then ..the cats. I was in heaven (Eric and Sarah were my besties the entire time) We arrived a little early so we got to wander around and give all the cats treats and feed the deer. All of these animals are so very sweet and you can tell how happy they are to be there. Our tour was amazing and I loved hearing every animals story. It's a beautiful thing to see these sweet babies safe and happy. Definitely a must visit if you're an animal lover.

A must visit while in Maui, if you love cuddling animals this is the place for you, so many happy animals that love humans or maybe just the food your given to feed them… ? we learned a lot about the animals and how we can better look after them and protect them by farming practices and the foods we consume. It is a very vegan friendly place and you may think twice about eating chicken, Turkey, pork or beef after your visit… regardless you will leave even happier then when you arrived.
