This is one of very few dedicated baby stores in Oahu. Maybe 3 total on island and this one has been open for I believe 37 years. The shop is stroller and wagon friendly! Many other stores are tight and compact but they have room to maneuver easily. The owner Mrs Lee was a delight to speak with, helpful about both items in the shop, and the North Shore area. She has a huge variety of clothing, books, swaddles, toys and sizes up to 6 or 7. My 8 year old son especially loves his shark tooth necklace! They’re located in the historic area of Haleiwa with parking on site! Just go around back. They are walkable to the famous Motsumoto shave ice and more shopping. Definitely do not skip out this shop when you’re there!

I have been lucky enough to have family members expecting babies while I have been on vacation in Hawaii and have made a beeline both times to Growing Keiki. Their range is just beautiful. Many of their items are made from recycled or sustainable materials and they have something for all ages. Highly recommend.

We love this little shop! There are so many of our fave local keiki brands sold here. The customer service is always on point with helping us find what we are looking for and sharing their fave items with us. They even have a little play corner with a tiny grand piano, music toys and kid puzzles for the kids to play with when we shop. We spend a lot of money here but it's worth it to know we are getting good quality items that support local small businesses. We will continue to come here every time we are on this side of the island. This visit we found the perfect baby and keiki sun hats, sunnies and some adorable outfits. Mahalo fam!

LOVE this shop. I have been to Oahu twice and both times I made sure I made it by their shop in the north shore. Staff was a lot of fun.

Now that I have a baby, I make it my mission to add a new book to his collection whenever I'm able to visit a children's store. I like books specific to the area we visit, and since this was his first time in Hawaii, I wanted to make sure I left with things to remember this trip. When I entered I was greeted and allowed to browse without being pestered---YES! I found a bib made in Hawaii that we used as soon as we got home. I love how easy it is to clean! I also purchased two books, clothing items, two teethers, and an egg maraca/noise maker. Anyone visiting the area and interested in buying things for the keikis in their lives should visit this store. Loved it!

My favorite shop in Haleiwa. Ima tell you why. My neices and nephews have a lot of uncles. Consequently, the competition for Most Favorite Uncle is pretty intense. Even so, I'm always way up there in the standings because I never forget to bring toys and gifts. That's why The Growing Keiki is my favorite store. They always have just the perfect gift. When you bring someone a present from Hawaii, you kinda want it to look like it came from Hawaii, you know? But not ostentatiously so, like the phony "Hawaiian" stuff retailers sell on the mainland. Something tropical, but subtle. Plenty to choose from here! And, importantly, they have a great selection of local Hawaiian made items. Last two visits I found just exactly the perfect birthday present for my cute little red-headed neice Lindy. I love textiles and I'm crazy about quilts. I mean, that's my favorite part of our local County Fair. I head right for the Quilting Exhibit. And that's another reason why The Growing Keiki gets Five Stars, they have some spectacularly beautiful local made quilts for sale. Mmmmm...hand stiched. Oh, and one more thing, the walls inside The Growing Keiki are covered with all kinds of really wonderful posters. Every time I drop by I really dig on that Eddie Aikau poster! Mikey C says: mahalo nui loa, The Growing Keiki!

I came here with my husband and toddler on 8/28/21 at 11:30 AM. It's a cute little store with the brand I was looking for (keiki kau kau). Unfortunately the young, white woman working there was totally unfriendly and unwelcoming to us as an Asian-American family. It was quiet, not busy at the store, as there was only one customer before us. We received neither a greeting upon entering the store nor a "thank you" after purchasing a book. She was curt. When other white customers came in minutes after us, they promptly were greeted with a "hello," and as they browsed at clothes, the worker immediately asked if they needed help finding a size. I'm happy I found the book, but experiencing racism always leaves a weight on my chest as I try to calm my simmering anger.

Came into this little Jem on Sunday to buy a birthday present. This was my first time in the store. A couple minutes into looking around, I presume the owner, asked if I needed help looking for something specific. I told her I was looking for a birthday present and she instantly started to show my things for age range I was looking for. She was so kind and helpful. She even wrapped the gifts!!! I will definitely be back in to shop locally. Thank you!!

In October 2019, we came into The Growing Keiki to look around as we were expecting our first child. The ladies in the store were super helpful and very personable. After looking around we purchased some infant onesies. Our son is now here and fits into the clothes which looks super cute. The material has held up very well and he has worn the clothes numerous time. The material is soft, and he has outgrown the clothes before they were damaged or worn out. I would definitely recommend stopping in and checking out the products offered.

We've driven past this business many times, located just before the iconic Haleiwa Bridge, but never had occasion to stop in. We did so yesterday because my friend was looking for a local baby gift for friends on the mainland. Happy that we stopped in because many of the goods are made in Hawaii! I love to buy local and support local businesses. The store isn't overly cluttered, which makes it overwhelming and difficult to choose a nice gift. I found an ultra soft large shark plush toy that caught my eye as soon as we entered the store. It wasn't made in Hawaii but he came home with me anyway! There were onesies and mini aloha shirts, dress sets, matching sets, Hawaii print quilts, etc. It was really enjoyable looking at all the gifts. Woo hoo!
