“My experience with Hawaii Surf School was absolutely amazing. I chose the 3-day surf lesson package.

From the very beginning, my instructor, Eddison, made the experience unforgettable. He was patient, friendly, knowledgeable, and made learning to surf feel fun and encouraging. We met each day at Laniakea Beach on the North Shore of Oahu, which was the perfect location. Never overcrowded, and the waves were clean, glassy, and perfect for my beginner skill level.

Each day had a different focus, which made my progress feel natural and rewarding.

Day 1: We worked on the fundamentals—pop-ups, foot placement, and getting comfortable with positioning on the board.

Day 2: We focused on balance, controlling the direction of the surfboard, paddling techniques, and learning how to catch waves.

Day 3: I was surfing! 😎

Not only is Eddison an incredible instructor, but he’s also an amazing photographer! We even had a mini photo shoot, and he recorded videos throughout the lessons. Watching the footage afterward was incredibly helpful because he used it to give feedback on my foot placement, positioning, and overall balance.

The camp itself was exactly what I needed to relax and fully enjoy the beauty of the island. It’s only a short walk from the beach, surrounded by nature, with fresh fruit you can pick straight from the trees. Whether it was paddling in the evening, doing yoga, or simply sitting outside eating fresh bananas while listening to nature, every moment felt peaceful and restorative.

This entire experience was incredibly therapeutic. It refreshed my mind, gave me new energy, and reminded me how grateful I am to have had this opportunity.
