Hana Inn was a great choice for our large family to stay overnight in Hana (one of only a few places with a one night stay option). The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. The private bathroom was also clean and orderly. We didn’t take advantage of the common kitchen or area on the main floor, but the property looked well taken care of. We used the self check in and check out so never actually met any of the staff, but in email conversations I had prior to our visit I was impressed with the information they were able to share with me about their property and the surrounding area.

Rooms are reasonably priced, given the location and few options. You will have a few neighbors per floor. Bathroom was not connected and was small, but it was private and secure. The filtered water in the fountain for water bottle refilling was awesome! Bear was a great host and answered our questions. Free parking. Shared kitchen was clean, and the other guests were friendly and quiet. This is not a place of luxury, but it is clean and safe. The bathrooms and rooms have definitely been upgraded, and it is a place to stop by on your Road to Hana to get some rest.

Great place to stay! Convenient stop for us to complete the full road to Hana. The room and private bathroom we had was clean, comfortable, and cozy. No need to worry about lack of air conditioning, we stayed cool with the windows open! We will definitely recommend this to others just as it was recommended to us!

First, website was very clear on what they offer.2. The pre arrival assistance with payment and places to eat with times, was excellent3. Pre arrival email was very helpful, including telling you to print or take screenshot so you have it on the road if you dont have wifi in your car.4. Very polite, kind host, spoke with Bear for an hour after dinner on the large patio.Place is not fancy, but it has what you need & it is clean. Thanks for a nice night in Hana!

This is a real value for the money. The place is immaculately clean. I mean, like “I can eat off the floor” clean. The staff were wonderful and take great pride in their place. You can’t wear your shoes inside the inn, which I appreciate to prevent people tracking mud in from their hikes. The beds are really comfortable, the shower has hot water and good pressure. It is quirky. Your bathroom is not connected to the room. However, it is a private bathroom just for you and you have a code to it. I didn’t have a problem with it. Hana is quirky. I will definitely stay here again when I come to Hana.

The quality and value of our stay at Hana Inn (formerly Joe’s Place) was top notch. If you are driving the Road to Hana, this is the best option in my opinion. The room as well as other areas of the Inn were well prepared, sanitized, and convenient for us to use. We felt welcome to be there and all other guests were pleasant to be around. There is a large shared fridge and kitchen, as well as a shared living area and outside patio to relax on. There was a mini fridge in our room to use and the bed was very comfy as well. Having our own dedicated bathroom was a nice plus also :)… Hana Bay and Red Sand Beach are walking distance from here (just turn right and it is right down the road). Thanks for the awesome stay!

Huge fan of the Hana Inn, stayed just for one night and loved it! Room was super comfortable and the location/view is perfect. There’s no A/C as some of the other reviewers said, but you truly don’t need it here. With the windows and fans on it’s perfectly comfortable.Front desk guy was super nice too! Will definitely stay here next time in Hana!

I travel a lot for work, so when I am on vacation I really like a place that is unique and has a home feel. Absolutely loved the Hana Inn formally Joes Place. Easy walk to everything and the rooms were clean, dedicated bathrooms. Clean linens, and a usable kitchen and common areas. Felt at home immediately.Rooms: Clean, home style. Warm and friendly. Something different than corporate hotel chains.Walkability: Everything in Hana is walkable. Hana inn is within walking distance of all of it

A nice little quaint inn, kinda hostel style, shared kitchen. The bathroom and shower isn't in the room you have to go out in the hallway to a certain bathroom and enter a code to get in. Kitchen is shared they have a rule 1 family at a time. Plus they want you to eat in the common area so it makes you feel like you need to eat quickly, it be nice to shared that space. Awesome experience had fun it was quiet and close to everything.

We LOVED our stay an Hana inn. Very clean, kind knowledgeable hosts, very accommodating. We spent three nights here and were so comfortable; soft sheets and nice mattresses. Really feels like a home rather than a hotel. The location is so close to Hana bay and Red sand beach!

We stayed here for a night after doing the road from Paia to Hana, so that we could get to the park and hike the Pipiwai trail before the crowds (highly recommend). Easy self check-in after hitting the food trucks on the highway and opened the door to a wonderful room with separate bedroom, bathroom and sitting area (#8). Modern and brightly lit, well appointed (shampoo, soap, towels, and fans) and CLEAN! Like, never stayed in a room so clean! Windows were already open and the room was cool and breezy. We ran 1 fan through the night more for white noise than cooling. Super quiet at night (not many other guests). Shared kitchen well stocked with coffee tea cocoa and condiments. Easy parking beside the Inn (could be tight if it was full of guests). Price is in line with other places in Hana, and MUCH better than the Hyatt. Do yourself a favour, take the pressure off doing “The Road to Hana” and stay here a night!

I enjoyed my stay at Hana Inn. It was just as described and the people working were friendly. I would recommend the Hana Inn to anyone staying a night in Hana.
