The store has been here for as long as I have been coming to Maui which is 30 years and I'm sure it's been here long before I was ever born... They have a little bit of everything. However, being one of only two stores in Hana be prepared to bring out your pocketbook. All of the employees here are absolutely amazing!!

They have souvenirs, snacks, fishing, and ice. It's an old historic general store it just what you would expect from it.

This store is exactly what you expect. Family owned for over 100 years. If you need it, they have it. We needed gluten free crackers. They had an entire section of GF stuff. Make it one of your stops and go back in time.

If you lock yourself out of your car and need a long rod to try to stick through the window to jimmy the lock open, come here. Towards the back wall, to the right I found this long rod for sell. Don't know what it was but it was long and bendable. I used it to open my car door when I accidentally locked myself out. I did need help prying the window open but was able to pop the lock open with this rod. I flagged down a really nice police officer but he said he didn't know how to help me. There is only one tow truck that service this side of the island. The officer called the tow truck but they never responded. So life lesson, don't lock yourself out of your car, let alone on the Road to Hana. But if you do and need a long rod, this general store has it. Don't bother asking the tourists in the area if they have a metal coat hanger. No one does.

Hasegawa has everything you need and more of what you don't . . . If they dont have it then you don't need it . . . Honestly? I know it's a sort of cultural icon and probably one of the few places you can buy a mizumi plate, groceries, 50 pound bag of ice, chainsaw, and t-shirt under one roof ... but the charm ( ? ) ends there

Beautiful little store where you can get groceries, postcards and souvenir gifts for all. Got several beautiful postcards and some passion fruit mango butter.

A good choice for a sit down restaurant in Hana. The patio had a lovely breeze and water view. The lemonade and hurricane fries were just what we needed. Friendly and efficient servers. Clean bathrooms.

Far from Waikiki [Hana Maui HI]This is Hana's local and historic general store. Nothing fancy but, to me, historic in remote Hana. We purchased some snacks and drinks here before heading out to our scheduled reservation time slot at the Waiānapanapa State Park. Don't expect a Safeway or Albertson's supermarket. The convenience store has maybe 4 or 5 small aisles and offered a little bit of everything from OTC meds to hardware and auto supplies to produce and cold items.I also bought a souvenir shirt. They have a nice section on the back wall of "I survived Hana Highway" novelty tees (w/ their store logo). Most of the tees were too colorful and flashy for me but I did find one to my liking -- one color LoL! After you make the "Road to Hana" experience stop by and check it out. So glad we were able to stop in.Review #2711

This place is great. It has basically everything you could need. From food and beer to fasteners and tools. The staff is super friendly too and the store has old school charm that cant be beat!

I technically am part owner of this store according to google so I figured I'd leave a good review. If you are looking for odds and ends in Hana or just a bento and some rolling papers then this is the spot for you.

Just visited today - 8/4/2022 - and they had a full stock of Locals Slippers. Previously checked Longs Drugs throughout the island to no avail. Besides the slippers, the lady serving at the counter was amazing. She was kind and helpful, and the other patrons were very friendly. If you go to Hana, stop in to say hi and buy something.

After that wicked drive to Hana, how can you not love this place. It is like stepping back in time. It feels so far removed from the tourism of Maui. And they have a little bit of everything, including snacks and food after that long drive. We always stop just to take a breath and feel like we are stepping back to an older, simper time.
