Found a women's apparel item I wanted to purchase as a wedding gift. Hours said 9 pm close time. I called ahead and they said they closed at 8:30. Got there at 8. Door locked and the guys just looked at me from the kitchen and ignored me. Tried to call again, no pickup. It was an expensive item-- they lost a good sale, and future business.

Well-curated art and gift shop that you can browse and purchase from during restaurant/evening hours. I only wish they offered postcard format of their beautiful vintage-style posters (and fun pineapple art)!

Browsed here while waiting for our order at Japanese Grandma's Cafe. Nice souvenir and clothing items. Has some Japanese items, but wish they had more things. Very nice shop. But expensive. Wasn't approached and greeted, until later I returned and walked pass the counter.

This is the cutest store we visited in our entire vacation! They have a miscellania of things, from jewelry to dishes and some Hawaii souvenirs - all of them super cute! We usually collect mugs of every place we visit as a memory, but we saw some mid-century style illustrations of Hawaii and we just had to buy one - and it goes perfectly with our home decor!

Lovely little boutique located in tiny Hanapepe, Kauai. We often stop by to visit the bridge, however, an outfit caught my eye as we parked outside of the restaurant/boutique. The prices are what I'd expect for a boutique--if you shop at Fighting Eel on Oahu, you won't be shocked at the price tag. I absolutely love the pieces that they carry here :) A little bit of everything. You should come in and browse this lovely boutique. The staff are friendly! I look forward to our next island hop to Kauai...I'll make sure to stop in again.

Great goods and prices in a small, cool boutique in Hanapepe, Kauai. Who knew?! Just a few doors down from where Hanapepe Swinging Bridge is located, I found a pretty blue silk scarf and a large Japanese cosmetic/travel bag. Cool clothes and jewelry too! Worth a stop and look see. Woo hoo!

Curator Keiko Napier brings excitement to the islands with the latest fashion that just arrived from Japan. Today I have some beautiful pieces to wear and it is so cool to wear! I enjoyed shopping and she and her staff made it a fun experience for me and some shoppers I met! Also the food is delicious at her cafe!

Wonderful boutique that is well curated. Picked up some reef and ocean friendly sunscreen that I'd wanted to purchase before traveling to the islands but didn't have time to. Lots of locally made items jewelry and art. Beautiful hats and sunshades. Be sure to check price tags as there are a couple of higher priced items such as handmade sunglasses over $200. Had originally stopped by to go to Japanese Grandma but it was closed. They share one open space together. Didn't get to peek around as much as I'd like bc of a overly tired under 2 year old, but hope to be back some day.

Loved this shop. Visited 10/10/17. We arrived too early so it was still closed. Everything in the display window made me come back when it opened. Oodles of Japanese and other made gift items. Amazing art prints by Nick Kuchar, an artist whose images are of mid-century modern HI sand and surf scenes. The Japanese gift cards with geisha dolls made of paper were art pieces in themselves. Tiny Japanese erasers made into shapes of fruit, sushi, and animals. Beautiful clothing but out of my price range. Gorgeous desk accessories made of wood and perfect for a minimalist, with simple lines but high tech modernism.

Can't have a customer experience if owner makes customers feel unwanted. I came to support a local art festival and was looking for parking. I noticed an open space in front of this beat up liquor store. Then a grumpy old women wearing dirty pink clothes looks at me and points to a hand made sign she had displayed behind her store window saying "No Parking for customers only" and she tries to enforce it. I left thinking maybe she had paid for a loading permit or something. Came back around and saw another car there and it looks like her husband and son was talking to her. Guess she was saving a spot for them. Just goes to show you that some locals aren't friendly nor welcoming to others. Their family tried to get Yelp to remove my horrible customer service experience with this business. If you want to hear more. Please contact me via Yelp, I will tell you in more details. Thanks for reading.

I love this store, perhaps my favorite store on the island. The proprietress/curator has such a lovely aesthetic and taste. It was a treat to shop here.
