“One of the official US passport acceptance facilities on Kauai and staffs were very kind and helpful. I did apply to renew passport here after making online appointment with an agency. There are two agencies who can accept application at this Lawai Post Office and they were both very good. This location was also excellent because Seven-Eleven which has a copy machine available, is very close to the post office.”

“I have been using this post office for a while now to receive my mail in a PO Box. I think its been about 3 or so months, but I have never had an issue with them. Yes, they have limited hours, but they do make you aware of this from the start and their hours are posted. Overall, they do what they're expected and more. When I had an important package they made sure to call me directly with the notice of its arrival. Definitely a post office that goes above and beyond for its people.”

“This is a great post office with good hard-working employees who are plenty friendly. Most of the negative reviews here contain complaints which don't even apply. If your carrier is driving in an unsafe manner, address them directly and speak to the postmaster if they continue to do so. The postmaster works hard to resolve issues, especially those regarding safety and will deal with the employee directly. And don't blame them for your decision to endanger yourself by carrying a heavy appliance vs. using a hand truck/dolly or collapsible wagon... or imagine you can read their minds and determine they are thinking they're better than you... or complain because they don't treat you with your version of aloha... or blame them for issues that are not under their control. If McDonald's change their menu, you wouldn't blame the person at the drive up window, or would you?”

“I really like the ladies who work behind the counter at my post office. They are constantly swamped but they have always been pleasant to me. My mail is delivered to my home on a regular basis within 15 minutes of the same time every single day. They never leave a package, which is a good thing because I have a small rural mailbox, but I can always pick it up by 3pm the same day I get the notice of its arrival. I find mailing stuff out is cheap compared to the alternatives. The folks behind the counter have always cautioned me when I've mistakenly selected a more expensive option. They never rush me and if I make a mistake and have to step aside to correct it, they judge how long it will take to service my request vs the other folks standing in line but usually finish me up right away. If you don't like the service, blame the Republicans for passing draconian accounting requirements that only USPS must comply with. The Republicans want to "privatize" the post office so you'll have to pay $5 to mail a letter through FedEx. The Post Office should be expanded to provide simple banking services as they do in other countries. But, again, the Republicans won't let that happen because it would put the pay-day lenders out of business. Thank you USPS!”
