Great selection of items. Several warehouses of stuff at this location, so be sure to peruse all of them. The quality is good and looks handmade from Indonesia, be sure to check drawers, joints, stain, etc for variations and faults from shipping. Closed Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. $15 fee for loading assistance but many of the pieces could be moved with a friend or on your own if they are the right size/shape. Tim checked us out and was very sweet and helpful getting us squared away. Ron was so kind and helped load items, providing cardboard to keep things from bumping into one another. Both gentlemen were so nice and helpful. We'll be back for future furniture needs! We're lucky to have a furniture store like this in Hilo!

On July 18th 2023 I went into the bamboo & teak furniture store in Hilo to pick up a table and chairs for a friend that I had referred. The friend that purchased the furniture told them I would be down that morning to pick it up. When I got there, I made contact with a female employee that had been cruising around on an electric scooter. The female employee told me that the table was in a storage bay at the end of the building and the chairs were in a shipping container on the other end of the parking lot and that there was a $15 loading fee. I told her that my two daughters and I could load the furniture if she could bring it out. Her and another employee went down to the bay where the table was, and removed it from a stack of tables and set it just outside the bay door. She said here you go and again told me the chairs were in the shipping container at the other end of the parking lot, before walking away.We carried the table the entire length of the building back to my truck and then had to retrieve all six chairs from the shipping container. After loading all of the furniture, I found the female employee wandering around the store with what appeared like nothing to do except trying to look busy. We were the only customers there and the parking lot was empty. I asked her if the owner of the business was around. She told me that he wasn't working that day and rudely asked what I needed. I calmly explained that from a customer point of view, I shouldn't have to gather all of the furniture that was ordered. I told her that I felt that the furniture should've been in one area for me to load up. I also told her that I had never had a furniture company charge to help wrap and load furniture. She told me she was too busy to help me wrap and load, yet wasn't helping any other customers and to me was just wandering around trying to look busy. She told me that she didn't have time to baby every customer that comes into the store, and that we were lucky to even have a place to shop for furniture. She also told me they barely survived Covid. I told her that over the last year I had easily spent several thousand dollars and referred many people to their business and from a customer point of view this wasn't the proper way to treat customers. She told me that she didn't care and didn't need my money. I told her that if Covid hadn't taken them out of business, her attitude surely would.I also told her she shouldn't act like they are the only furniture store on the island because there are other places to shop. She told me good, shop somewhere else. I assured her that I would be shopping elsewhere and would be speaking to the owner. During my conversation with her I never raised my voice or got rude yet she was very rude and repeatedly interrupted me while I was speaking.I made several attempts to contact Mike the owner and never received a call back. I don't know what happened to this business. It used to be awesome you would buy furniture, they would have it wrapped and ready for you they would help you load it and often I would give them 10 or $20 as a tip. I try and support local businesses anytime that I can, but when treated like this by an employee, I will not go back and will not recommend them to anyone.

I’m Not even interested in entering the store after the way the store representative spoke to my wife on the phone. Flaky, rude and unsure of anything even the time the store closes on the 4th of July.

I remember when this place was reasonably priced, I understand prices in general increase however this place is gouging people. I was looking into buying a $400 cabinet and couldn't make up my mind . B&T did it for me, $15 for someone to help me lift it on the back of my truck after spending $400 ???? There's a word for that, Greedy! They'll never get my business again, and to anyone reading this I suggest you don't go there either.

Echoing Jeff Deason’s experience, we went in wanting to furnish our new home. We saw several pieces we wanted worth in the thousands but couldn’t get service. Finally we left empty handed.

Huge warehouse of furniture and decor! Most available in multiple finishes. Outdoor, dining and bedroom furniture mostly. Very friendly and helpful staff, and really good prices for solid wood furnishings.

Beautiful quality bamboo and teakwood furniture; mostly all made in Indonesia. Prices are reasonable. It is like a scavenger hunt to find pieces and sometimes it’s hard to find a worker there to help. I have been there many times and bought a few pieces there. I would go back in the future.

Was having a birthday party and had just finished a 20x20 lanai. Needed furniture. Went here and so much to choose from! Everyone was friendly and helpful. They have a HUGE selection of really nice furniture. The guys loading my truck we're super nice and chill. Wrapped everything nicely and everything made it home in one piece. Recommend!

The items they have are top notch. Some really unique pieces as well. Prices are really good for solid wood furniture which can be hard to find on the island. The staff is friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful place! It's basically a series of warehouses full of heavy wood furniture, but it's the kind of furniture you really can't find anymore. From what I can tell, everything is made in Indonesia. The craftsmanship is phenomenal. This is furniture like your great grandparents would have had in their house of they were rich.So far I've purchased a four post canopy bed, some very unique shelving, and various odds and ends tables in brilliant dark mohogany finish, and this stuff is both solid and immovable once it's all put together. The guys working there are the salt of the earth, and seem to have a lot of fun helping load stuff up. I highly recommend checking this place out, especially if your having trouble finding furniture. The wait times at most of the other stores is almost a year right now (2022) and the selection isn't half as varied as this place! Check it out, you won't regret it.

Worst furniture store on the Big island by far, horrible customer service, over priced wood that has termites and longhorn beetles in all their furniture, got 2 dressers from here with this problem and now spread to my kitchen cabinets, now I have to pay even more money to Hilo termite to tent my home. BE AWARE OF THESE CRUEL OWNERS.

We've used these guys, for home and business, since 2010 for (elephant) bamboo, teak and good-quality ex-hotel stock. Always a great experience with very fair prices.
