SHAME on workers at Downtown Longs pharmacy in Hilo that worked on 10/15/25! My family were experiencing heartache due to a loved one's unexpected surgery- they were sent to this Longs to get medication in order for our loved one to come home. They prolonged the process by asking redundant questions, playing All Mighty, and sending my family back and forth multiple times between them and the doctor's.
People going to a pharmacy almost always need compassion- something is wrong for them to need the service. SHAME on them! Hilo and the Big Island is tight community- Karma will come back real fast.

Longs drugs downtown Hilo is a store to go to they have good deals, things that you would need, cheap cheap cheap with coupons.

The cashier had excellent customer service. I had questions and she was able to answer them. I needed help and she was able to provide help. There were things on the shelf that I needed and she took the time to get them from the back. She was kind she was respectful And she serves at her workplace with joy. I would describe her as an excellent and important asset to the company.

I drove all the way from pahoa because i needed to get my niece baby formula and after checking online and seen they 24 hrs i get all the way there and they are closed need to update online. Employee gave me an attitude when i questioned why closed but online and i called the machine said store hrs 24 hrs a day.. wth so longs who paying my wasted gas?!!

This is my go to pharmacy in Hilo, mainly because my prescription insurance coverage is through Caremark, and Longs seems to be the only pharmacy on the island that takes my insurance. They generally seem to fill my prescriptions in about 15 or 20 minutes. And I can usually get a hold of someone from the pharmacy on the phone. I also appreciate their hours; I think they're open 24 hours a day, except for the lunch break.
As far as the rest of the store, I've been finding good deals on slippers these days. The other day, they had them on sale for $3 a pair.
