I used Enterprise Car rental in Hilo Hawaii at the airport. They are in a very convenient location, right across the street from the airport.The employees were quick and polite, and got us on our way in a matter of minutes. Same way with our return. It's never been as easy and pleasant as it is at this location.

Super quick and easy. The one lady did however make it seem like I was a terrible burden on her and her day. But the gentleman when we returned the car was super friendly and made our experience much better. Prices were fair as well.

A vehicle we rented broke down and we were stuck for approximately 4 hours on the side of the road about 15 - 20 mins away from Hilo. Even tho we arrived at this location frustrated with the enterprise roadside assistance process, the workers this location made it very easy and simple for us. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

This location is conveniently right outside the airport. After we got to the hotel, we quickly realized that we were going to need a rental vehicle. According to tourists, because of the Iron Man Championship, cars were scarce. We were able to make a reservation at 7AM and we picked the car up at 8AM. Easy Peasy. Walked right up to the counter and we were in the car by 8:10. No hidden costs, no trying to sell us anything. We ended up getting a Maxima. Was perfect for the island. Good on gas and was reliable. Really no reason to spend the extra cash on a Jeep. For the week it was $924 The only issue was, the car was in desperate need of maintenance. Needed power steering fluid, oil and filters, rotors and brakes and new wipers. I wasn’t going to waste time and exchange as I was confident it could have waited it but I did let them know and I hope they took the proper precautions for the next guest. I would definitely recommend this business. The employees were very nice as well. Thank you guys!

Enterprise is my 'go to' car rental company. The experience of renting from them is consistently excellent at all of the locations from which I've rented. Meanwhile, this was my first car rental in 3 years so I was curious if 'things had changed'.They hadn't. I was 'checked in' quickly and directed to the lot where I was given the choice of any car in the group. I selected a Chevy -- strange as I haven't driven a domestic vehicle in a long while.Bottom line: the car was great, the service was great and my confidence in Enterprise has been confirmed.

Rental and car was nice. Car a little bit unclean but we could live with that. On the otherhand the service is terrible. We asked on how to activate the 4 wheel drive on our car as the handle was really hard to move. We did not want to break something. She then told, while kind of laughing at us, that we are anyway never gonna use and need it and therefore she will not help us. When we rent a car with 4wheel drive there is a reason for it. When offroading the insurance wont cover (only under certain circumstances) but we could perfectly live with that. Anyhow. Then when dropping off the car, I forgot my purse in the middle console. I called this office 30min after the drop off. I was already through security and checkin and therefore to late to return. She told me shell go have a look and call me back. To this day I never got any follow up message (it was 2 weeks ago). There were 140usd and my ID and drivers license in the purse. I did not expect the money to be still "there" and would also not request them to send me the purse but maybe the id and drivers license in a small envelope does not cost the world and I would have greatly payed for shipping. Anyhow. I guess enjoy the money and what ever. Fact is I will in my life, never again, rent at Enterprise.

I rented a car from Enterprise Hilo airport a week back. The staff there were very knowledgeable and kind. They called ahead to make sure when I’m coming and offered to keep the office open post the closure time to accommodate my late flight. Later I had to make some modifications to the reservation and Stefan helped me out with the changes. He looked up all the details and made the transaction very smooth and quick. Excellent staff !

If you can, try renting somewhere else. Staff do not tell you the things you were paying for. I’ll never rent here again.

Enterprise has been and will continue to be my #1 car rental (vacation, business & emergency) Unfortunately, this most current rental was not 5 stars. The staff was awesome (as usual) but the rental car provided not so... Hence the deduction of a star.The first car offered smelled horrible. Possibly something crawled hidden somewhere in car and died. Car literally smell like a refuse center. And as I had mentioned the staff was awesome; quick to provide an alternative car with short notice.The second car smelled fine. But the antenna was broken so the radio did not work well. For some a minor issue.... for us a little disappointing since we were doing quite a bit of driving across the Big Island.Again, it is NOT the staff fault. We can only praise the staff. Repeat wonderful customer service. This is more a company fault of not supplying adequate vehicles. Staff has no control over the vehicles the company has on the lot.We still continue to rent from Enterprise in the future.And we will still refer Enterprise to our friends and family.
