The Hilo Farmer's Market is a vibrant and diverse marketplace that offers an array of fresh produce, local delicacies, and unique souvenirs. Visitors can expect to find a wide variety of fruits, including the renowned white pineapple, as well as poke bowls and a selection of inexpensive souvenirs. While the market may appear small, it is packed with a higher concentration of unique items and foods than can be found elsewhere on the island. The friendly vendors, particularly the lady with dark hair who sells tropical-patterned pouches and recycled coffee bean sack coasters, add to the market's charm. Visitors should be prepared for potentially higher prices, as is common in Hawaii, but the exceptional quality and variety of the offerings make the Hilo Farmer's Market a must-visit destination.

Great place for fresh fruit (you have to try the white pineapple), poke bowls, and local retail with many inexpensive souvenirs.

Had high expectations with this market, felt very touristy. Still had nice variety of fruits and veggies and tried new fruits like vanilla flavored fruit and mountain apple and mangosteen. Pricy but hey, it’s Hawai’i.
