We grabbed dinner here during our visit to Hilo after spending our day in Volcano National Park. The have a lot of vegetarian options and vegan options as well. The food was really good and comforting. We also grabbed a Lassi to drink and an onion salad on the side here which makes the Indian food a lot more tastier.

Food is decent and I'd go there again. The to gocontainers they give you food look small, but the amount of food is a decent amount. For an appetizer I tried the Vegetable Samosas. They were good. For entrees I got three different things to split and have others try. I got mild because of the other people, but I think you should get at least medium otherwise the flavor is a bit lacking something. Even the other person said next time get medium.Malai Kofta (vegetable/cheese balls in gravy) - I really liked this. Good amount of vegetable/cheese balls in there and the korma sauce was really good.Baigan Bharta (mashed eggplant) - I've had better, but this was alright. Like I said I would have preferred medium.Lamb Korma - This is the same sauce as the Malai Kofta above, but with chunks of lamb instead. I got this because someone here likes meat, but I should have got something else just so I have a different flavor going down my mouth. The only thing I did not care for is Gulab Jamun. I don't think it's their fault. I just think I don't like it. My Mom said it was very good. It's a ball made out of milk and cheese soaked in syrup.Only place on this side of the island to get Indian food. I'll be back for some pakora and one of the paneer dishes soon.

I think it is only Indian restaurant in Hawaii. Have two branches. Another one in Kona. The food was nice. Especially Non-veg Thaali. But please order "medium" taste. If you order "spicy", it is going to be too much spicy.Vegetarian options: Too many vegetarian and vegan options.Parking: Too much parking is available.

Order Takeout or risk the worst service of your life ?…The food was very good overall. Their curries taste fresh and hit the spot. Their homemade paneer is great. The restaurant atmosphere is appropriate for the food, a bit dark, but relaxing.I would easily give them 4 Stars for the food, so why a 2? The service is the absolute worst service I’ve ever encountered. If the 2 gentlemen who sit at the front are the owners, they really need to hire someobe to host their restaurant, and if they aren’t, they need to be fired… my server served me one glass of water with barely a fraction of two ice cubes in it. Was unable to speak of the popular dishes on the menu. Made no recommendations or showed any excitement to explain items on the menu. He was on his cell phone pretty much the entire time I was there, sitting up front staring at his screen, while my water ran out, while the cook delivered my meal to me… through my entire meal he never offered to refill my empty water glass, even upon bringing my check. And he even took his own tip when I paid cash for the meal. Absolutely the worst wait staff I’ve ever encountered.

After having an amazing meal at Kamana in Kona we were excited to repeat it in Hilo. Nope! Spider webs full of bugs at the tables along the wall near the lights and artwork. Host/waiter took our order and when we asked to make sure the dishes we wanted were gluten free he responded with "what else?" Also seemed put out when we asked about a drink menu and never asked about how spicy we wanted the food. After waiting 40+ minutes for our food the lady that brought it was friendlier but the food was not spicy at all (menu had spicy beside both dishes). Tasted like the correct flavours but bland compared to the same dishes we had in Kona. No drink refills offered, maybe they were short staffed? Not at all the kitchens fault but we wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, mostly because of the off putting waiter/host and bugs.
