customer service is seriously lacking at this store . most of the workers looked pissed off being at work. Like wow!!!!!'. Carolyn the cashier did her job but not very friendly. just basically ringing you up to get you out fast. yeah prices are cheap but i guess you get what you pay for.

Customer service is ridiculous. Matthew at the hilo money service was so rude. Matter of fact almost ever working here at this location is horrible and this is why I shop at target.

We love Hilo Walmart, the product selection, quality and value just get better. Customer care is outstanding throughout this store. Mahalos to Irene in customer service for always making our visits so easy.

Lydia at the cosmetic and fragrance department needs to check her attitude. I greeted her with decency and asked if it would be okay to check out (she had been reorganizing the same shelf for three minutes while I stood at the checkout.) She looked at me, rolled her eyes, and continued her shelving before deciding to turn around and meet my request. I looked at the customers around us and with their faces, they acknowledged her rudeness. I didn't say anything because I don't know what she's going through in her personal life, similarly to how she doesn't know what a customer like me would be going through in mine, yet she still treated me like a nuisance when I only have her politeness. Do better sis.

I was shopping in Walmart Hilo Hawaii when I heard all deptment heads summoned to the front. while shopping I felt I was be targetted for surveillance. I have had this happen in other branches of Walmart. I finished shopping and went home. Later I returned some of the itens. The clerk seemed to act strange while talking to another clerk. She seemed to be mocking me like the Lego movie because I had a stripped shir. later while shopping I felt some of the cutomers were involved.

Quality/Quantity - Scary that more people come here rather than downtown Hilo... The Walmart is run well, it has everything we need. Picked up some basic supplies, and some wine. Atmosphere - Consistent. This location is better run than most! Good size location. Plenty of parking. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 11pm. Service - Good, actually went to the full-service check stand this time as I did not want issues going through the self-service with alcohol. Price - Never check, low price leader! Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 1969, the world's largest company by revenue, $548+ billion. 50+ stores in Nevada and 310+ stores in California.

I keep ordering over 150 dollars worth of dog food, just to be told later, after my money was taken, that they had canceled my order because they didn't have my items. Well, my money is lost for days, I can't afford to take more money from my account, and my rescue dogs screwed. Not a discount offer after that. Just canceled, and no money for a few days. Shame. No customer respect or compensation.

Very bad customer service policy. Purchased one of their house brand cereals that was very stale and soggy and they wouldn't allow for exchange or refund even with replacement or refund satisfaction guarantee printed on the package. They said it's because the package had been opened. Well DUH!!! how else would I have known that it was stale and soggy? I guess this is how the owners of Walmart screws over their customers to get rich. Ripping off their customers even on small dollar items too. Should have bought national brand instead from Safeway when they go on sale they are very cheap. At least Safeway doesn't have such a blatant rip off terrible customer satisfaction policy. HEY WHAT'S RIGHT IS RIGHT!!! I wouldn't be fussing about this over on YELP over a bag of $6 cereal but I keep thinking about others getting ripped off like this too and for more expensive items. I'd recommend staying away from Walmart and go to Target or Safeway instead.

To many bad experiences at Hilo Walmart with customers being rude and inconsiderate towards each other while getting their carts. Customers are stealing carts away from each other and their are no employees around to supervise the customers. The store has no excuses not to give an employee the responsibility to give out carts to their customers like they used to. There are enough employees to help customers because we see employees standing around talking to each other instead of working. Most times there are too many customers in one aisle and no room to keep a good amount of distance from each other. Especially when it is busy and the employees are stocking shelves instead of offering to help the customers. How can customers abide by the pandemic rules, if the employees are not helping their customers enough, to make sure they can keep a low number of customers in the aisle they are working in?

I have been standing in aisle K31 for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come open a case so I can purchase a $15 set of jumper cables. I've asked 2 associates that can't even radio or ask, escalate the issue for someone to help me. Pregnant, back hurts, waiting for jumper cables. Complete joke.

Very rude fitting room lady today. We went on a birthday/school shopping spree for my kids and started it off happy and excited. All that came to an end when we went to try on some clothes. Walked up, she had her back to us so I said,"excuse me" and the phone rang so before I could even ask to try on the clothes, she answered the phone. No worries, I waited. As soon as she hung up, someone walked next to me waiting in line, she passed me to help them to a fitting room. Even they noticed she overlooked me but I told them its fine, ill be next. (No one else was in line) and thats when the phone rang again. I asked her if we could try on our clothes and told her the number of items but she said "hang on" and didn't even look at me when she made she darted for the phone. Again, no worries, maybe she's in a bad mood because she's busy? So when she finally got off this call that seemed to take forever, she had no choice but to help me. She seemed upset that I had too many items and just kinda threw it all down. I technically had 7, i thought it was 6 because I wasnt counting the 2nd sports bra on the same hanger. Turns out you can only take 6 items. I said, "its fine, ill only take the 6" and she finally let us go in. At this point, our happy shopping experience turned into a total stressed one. She had me wondering what I could have done to offend her? Anyway, we came out and decided to keep 3 items and put back 3. I asked her if she wanted me to leave the 3 on the cart she had there and she didn't answer but gave me this dirty look and started walking my way. I was actually scared at this point and just set the clothes on the cart and backed away. Thats when she shooed me away and told me "your done here." I walked away completely shocked that she would treat a customer like that. I did nothing to deserve it and ended up totally stressed out trying clothes on with my kids. I dont know the name of this lady but she was older and there around 4ish. I can handle a rude comment or 2 but this lady was intimidating and should not have been working with customers today.

Over 12 handicapped parking spots is great, but 1 cart is unacceptable and no one seems to care (employees) also NO assurance for those of us who are disabled or elderly to our vehicle. Because they don't allow us to take the carts to our vehicle, let alone out of the building. How are we expected to get our purchased items to our vehicle? Again, staff doesn't care about the kapuna at all! NEVER RETURNING to this location and I'm going to blast the disgrace all over social media how they blaintenly discriminate against the elderly & disabled. Walmart is a multi billion $$ corporation they can afford regular maintenance and purchasing of better facilities. That is obvious lol at the Kailua kona location! Brand new high powered carts. No restrictions, they even help you load your car!!
