Don’t know how to wax eyebrows. It was uneven, and one eyebrow was totally different looking from the other. I had to go home and fix it myself. Would never go there again.

What a wonderful place! First time to Hilo and my husband and I wanted pedicures-but we drove around looking at some and they didn’t wow us-finally we found Nina’s and so very glad we did! Very clean & sweet people who know what they are doing! They don’t hurry through but give you their time & attention and excellent service-best place in town-go see them, pamper yourself-the prices are so reasonable and you’ll want to return!

Pros: Very nice interior, seems to be upgraded- Now known as Leanne Nails I think due to ownership change. Hany was fast and did great on my fill!
Cons: Pricing. I ended up walking out paying $60 for a gel FILL (base price $45, but was charged +10 for a SHAPE CHANGE, + 5 for a glitter polish topcoat.)

The lady I had was obnoxiously chewing gum during my entire service. I left with what was supposed to be almond shaped nails, instead I got a variety of shapes. I kept asking are you going to file and shape my nail? Which she confirmed she would. It looked so terrible I went to target after to get a nail filer so that I can shape them myself, not to mention she filed the side of my nails so rough it burned. I had to pull away a couple of times, telling her that it hurts. She would pause and skip on to the next nail like nothing. She didn't even clean the acrylic off my skin good enough either. Then I accidentally bumped one of my fingers in the UV light machine which left a dent in the gel polish and I told her she just nodded her head and smiled. I'm so embarrassed to admit I even left her a nice tip because I knew no matter what I said she'd gaslight me into thinking it was me. The quality of service was poor. I would not be going back here again.

The tech was pretty careless about doing the manicure, and it's already chipping and peeling two days later. Also more expensive than others in Hilo.

I have tried several nails salon without much luck of finding a good one....FINALLY! Nina Nails was wonderful. My toes are great and my tech Alieia was friendly and professional. I will 100% be back.

Probably one of the worst nail salons around. No one was in there. I was the only customer there and it's no wonder why. I felt uncomfortable the whole time and will not be back. The service was basic, nothing special and the polish was off - crooked on several nails. I just wanted to get out of there so I paid and left as soon as I could. I honestly don't know how some of these places stay in business.

First off this comes from a place of positive intention, this is to the owner of Nina's, please train your staff , your worker that claims to have been doing nails for 20 plus years but would rather open her own Vietnamese restaurant needs training. She cut me bad and ripped my cuticles on fingers and toes, gel polish bubbled when I got home , and upon closer inspection, my 5 year old could have painted my toes better. It was hideous . She overcharged me and charged for a full set of acrylic, she only did an overlay on my fingers . I will not recommend anyone to go here . $90 down the drain. Would have done 0 stars but unable to.
