Nathan really knows his stuff! I had an issue with my car that two other mechanics in town couldn't diagnose after thorough inspections. Meanwhile, Nathan takes it out on a test drive with me in the passenger seat, and within about two minutes, he tells me the problem and the solution. And he only charged me a case of soda for his time! I was able to do the repair myself, and sure enough, it fixed the problem. I'll be going back to Nathan again when I need work on my car. Great mechanic in Hilo!

This was my first time taking my car into a shop to get fixed. Nate was very transparent about the process and repairs, and kept me updated through it. Car was a wreck when I brought it in, but he was so nice about it. A 10/10 very slay experience.

Best car repair shop in Hilo! Dropped in because I had a sneaky suspicion that my front left tire had a leak in it. And within 20 to 30 minutes, they fixed it and I was out the door (literally!)
This is a family owned business! I think the wife runs the reception and the husband is the main mechanic and it seems like they work together well! Glad I went here instead of big named auto repair shop! Support local businesses!!

Nate the owner was wonderful. I called on a recommendation in distress needing my car air conditioner charged same day as it was very hot. I had to travel so I was desperate. When I arrived he greeted me warmly and went to work on my car putting his lunch aside. In just a short time he serviced my air conditioner and had it running very efficiently on cold. I can’t sing his praises enough and I will return for other automotive services.

Took my car in for brakes and rotors. Nate was honest, helpful, and fairly priced. All the good reviews are true. I highly recommend Speed-O to all of Hawaii Island.

I was conducting a shop case study for my class project and after being denied to ask questions at multiple shops, the lady who answered the phone here was really nice and helpful, she helped me answer all my questions, and didn’t make me feel like I was just bothering her and wasting her time.
