This is a wonderful gallery. The gallery features the work of master printmaker Horoki Morinoue who is renowned for his beautiful mokuhanga wood block prints. On first Friday's it is not uncommon to be able to watch Hiroki kneeling on the floor as he makes the traditional Japanese style water based prints. He hand rubs each print with a baren. Multiple layers of color are added each one using a separate hand carved wood block. It's quite impressive. His lovely wife, Setsuko, gives informational and often humorous anecdotes about the individual artworks in the gallery. She is a master potter and a few of her pieces are also on display.

Dynamite, off-the-beaten-path find! Well laid out and presented little studio with some awesome pieces and a great backstory. 3rd generation Japanese descended family runs a great art studio, but don't miss the estate grown, medium roast coffee they grow. The little town of Holualoa comes alive in the afternoon of the FIRST Friday of the month (in non-covid times)

I think it was the most interesting gallery in the area. The space is maze like and the floors, walls, colors change as you move through them.
