Clean out the dirty... A long tradition to do at the end of the year is get your car washed and here at Don's Makiki Service having a drive thru car wash is so convenient with not many similar services like this in town at such a great price I was aware yet constantly forgetting it's there. There can be a long line here but is very fast and efficient than they other guys down the street where it is a process and is a plus to get it vacuumed but if you just need to get it washed this a great option to do so. The staff here is efficient and friendly and the price you just can't beat, the days of drive thru efficiency is a luxury thing I'm grateful for and here in Makiki it a service that is given with ease to take care of what has taken such great care you me. Thank you!

If you are looking for a fast wash and don't care to have the inside of your car taken cared of (windows wiped down, and vacuuming) then this place is pretty good. They do a precleaning and then send you on your way through the machine. I like foaming action as it reminds me when I used to foam my cars in the past (I'm getting too old and not enough time) and then detail them. They are pretty affordable and they wipe your vehicle down when you come out. The line isn't too long when I go unlike some other places which makes it appealing.

I used to go to this gas station for years to purchase gas and get my car washed but I stopped a couple years ago when the price went over $20 for a car wash. Yesterday (11/18/23) I made the mistake of going back and paying $26 for a car wash that took 45 minutes, there was only six cars in front of me the wait time was unacceptable. then when the two men dried off my car, they did a terrible job and left soap everywhere. as I drove down the street there was so bubbles flying up the side of my car, which I had to spend time to clean off. do not go to the car wash.

Prices way to high for scratching my paint permanently. Line not bad but space is too small for cars to fit. If you don't tip the guys drying your car they get mad and remember you next time. The rags they use to dry your car are filthy and scratched my paint! Sorry just being totally honest. Why tip them for doing their job? The wash prices are so expensive anyway.

The car wash, scratched my car so bad! All down my car, from the front to the back. Also bent my license plate in half, and beat up my rims super bad. Their vacuums also don’t work hardly at all! I don’t recommend going to this place EVER!

I have been a loyal customer to this car wash since I've moved to Oahu (that's a good 7 years). I used to life in Makiki and on my personal journey to figuring out Oahu, I've stumbled upon Don's Makiki Service next to the closest gas station. It's a bunch of uncles who work at this car wash that take good care of you as you treat your car to a wash. The prices have gone up since I started using them, but I can only imagine it's to keep up with the rising costs of everything else. There's 3 levels of car wash, with the most expensive one being $25 worth now. You just have to pay up front for the service you want and then they guide you to putting your car in neutral and just enjoying the show. The highest level gives your car a shiny coat and allows the automatic wash to also clean your tires if I remember correctly. I usually just do the most expensive one because my car deserves love too. The entire wash takes a good 5 mins and then towards the end you take your gear off of neutral and then drive a couple feet towards the final set of uncles who will wipe your car own. I tend to give a $5 tip once they look like they're about to finish. Sometimes you just need caring hands to clean up your car and for these guys to do it all day under the sun...they deserve a tip. Thank you for always washing and taking care! Another plus is if you bring a dollar's worth of quarters, you can vacuum your car's insides using their big tube vacuums which last for a good 6 mins I believe. Try them out next time you're in town/Makiki area!

Ok service station. Convenient location on Beretania and Keeaumoku, but the narrow lanes make it hard to turn in and turn back out onto the street. Tends to be much more expensive than other service stations in town.

Not a “1 star” for service but as of 4/24/23, this place was not open.

My wife and I went to this place to get our car washed like we do for over 10 years. But it was the first time they did not remove my antenna and was told " it's okay" by the attendant or cashier named Jefferson; as what appeared on the receipt. We selected service #3. Upon exit of the car wash, the people drying off the car told us that we did not get the wax that we paid for and if we want to, we have to get back in line again; mind you this is not our fault but theirs. To top it all, both hood grill were broken from the car wash, the people drying the car tried to fix it but broke it even more and instructed us to go to the convenience store to report it to the lady cashier. She then called on the washer cashier; named Jefferson. He came towards us in a very defensive, aggressive manner and he is a liar. He yelled at me in a loud and angry voice and lied to our faces saying " it's there already, I saw it. The audacity to attack the customers like a thug and not taking responsibility for their mistake is appalling. So very unprofessional and very disrespectful to clients.

Car wash not operational. Staff says someone didn't show up and they need 5 people to run it and they only have four. That don't do me no good when I'm trying to clean the rental car and I'm desperatly looking for a car wash which is difficult to find on this Sunday in Honolulu. Try the Texaco automated care wash. Don't depend on these guys.

I barely get my car washed, but when I do, I like to get it from here. It's about $21-27, so it is a bit pricey. Cash and card is accepted here. They do have a vacuum area which is self-serve just make sure you bring your change. I like how the guys give your car a pre scrub before entering the wash. They scrub the tires, roof, and tape up the back wipers and push in the side mirrors for you. The soap smells good once you go through. After your car goes through the wash, there are usually two guys who wipes dry your car after and takes off whatever tape was used. All in all, I love this spot for a decent wash. Also pro tip: don't forget to tip the two driers after!

Slowest I've ever experienced got in line at 2:58 and finally made it to the front since I was trapped in their roundabout. It's now 3:52. Just go to McKinley car wash. Same price but faster and they clean the inside of your car

Short line!!! Yippeee. Easy access. Don's Makiki Service has a Pro Wash where you can stay in your car, pay for the car wash and wax if you wish and continue to stay in your car as your car is washed and then hand wiped dry. One thing that they do not do. They do not vacuum your car. I did see vacuums that people were using.
