OCG Building Supply LLC/J Construction LLC entered into an agreement with us to remodel our condominium unit located at 500 Lunalilo Home Rd. Apt. 24A, Honolulu, Hawai'i 96825 in September 2022. We made two payments in total of $35,000 to OCG Building Supply LLC. Shortly after the company began work on the Project in September 2022, the Department of Planning and Permitting of the City and County of Honolulu (the "DPP") halted the Project and fined us as a result of OCG's failure to obtain proper permitting. Since that time, OCG Building Supply LLC have failed to perform any work on the Project, which remains incomplete, notwithstanding the fact that OCG has accepted partial payment of $35,000 for the Project, and that we were able to procure the building permit. OCG ignored multiple attempts to contact the owner of the OCG. Based on our contract, OCG would provide licensed plumber and electrician, Mr. Lau, but it turned out that Mr. Lau never showed up to work on our condominium unit, and he was not even a licensed plumber or electrician but a general contractor. This caused the DPP issued us a Notice of Violation on January 6, 2023, and fined for such violation. As of today, 2/14/2024, OCG Building Supply LLC has not responded to our phone calls, emails, text messages and certified mail.

It's sad to give this review because I really wanted to like them. First their cabinet work is good and the value for the work done is also good. They tried to accommodate my travel which was also good. What fell apart is they did not provide many things I requested and installed a new garbage disposable that messed up my AC and dishwasher. Instead of listening to me and fixing the garbage disposal, they told me I needed a new dishwasher. They do not pay attention to details. The pull out for the garbage was never done and later installed cheap thing to pull out. No spice rack as promised and the floor patch was done where it did not go with the flow of the floors. They installed tiles without communicating they were the wrong colors. They moved our telecom wires when I specially asked them not to.. lots of stuff., It felt like they didn't care about what I wanted and that I should be grateful for what they did. It was not a good experience. They stopped returning my texts and basically walked away from the job. Do not pay them in full. If you use them, you need to have someone home at all time because there is no project manager and very bad communication efforts. The review rating is because they walked away and failed to fix the things as promised.

OCG performed our condo renovation while it was vacant. The work was on a lump sum basis and took approximately three months (Sept-Nov 2022) which included the complete renovation of the kitchen (w new cabinetry, quartz counters, new appliance connections), the two bathrooms (including adding a shower in a half bath), total condo carpeting/tile removal with new floor board replacement including toe boards, the installation of new bedroom closet doors, the rework of the clothes washer alcove to accommodate a new stackable washer/ventless dryer set with built-in cabinetry and ceiling refinishing to cover up holes/piping left after I had a new split AC system installed . The appliances, kitchen/bathroom plumbing fixtures/shower doors and bedroom closet doors were personally purchased but installed by OCG. I'm giving OCG five stars because of the cost and also in recognition of Adela (our primary coordinator), Mr Jian (the owner) and the OCG crafts folks. I do have to state I'm advantaged as I do speak some mandarin (most of the crew spoke mandarin) and my background is architecture and construction management. That said, I am limited in personally having work resources to undertake the work myself so OCG was a nice match. OCG also purchases/imports building materials (quartz counters, cabinets, flooring) in bulk and can pass on the lower cost to the customer. Many of their crafts folks have multiple skills. That said, I worked with OCG with my eyes wide open from the onset and applied my own attention to detail always with the mutually and respectfully shared intent to help guide the way to completion. Although there were surprises and follow ups throughout, OCG responded well. I ended up very satisfied with them and would personally work with them again. And not uncommon with any work these days as it was during my own individual project, OCG also had several concurrent and much larger customer projects but still provided enough attention to progress my project work to completion. With the exception of the new AC, some specialty electrical work and final painting, having this renovation performed under the one hat of a lump sum contractor was definitely advantageous. Mr. Jian, the owner, was especially kind in having his crew perform work outside the contract scope (which all was at reasonable cost too). While the total work schedule was longer, reasonable cost was my priority. Throughout, there was never any "nickel and diming" by OCG. Again, my recognition and appreciation to OCG (and thanks again to Adela and Mr. Jian)!

There are no words I can can say as to how happy we were with the service that Adela and her colleagues provided to me and my mom. We were in a rush to get a cabinet to spec and they sure did deliver! It was built on time, as they promised, exactly what we needed and it fit perfectly. My mom was extremely happy with the work and both of us will use them in the future. Again, Adela was fantastic to work with. She kept us up to date on everything that was happening and understood exactly what we needed.

Sale Rep. Ms. MuMu and the OCG contractors and sale associates were very professional. I had a total renovation of my condo to include the kitchen, bathroom, and all the flooring throughout the whole condo replaced. They did it in a timely manner and actually finished a week before schedule. This renovation was by far very cost efficient compared to all the quotes I've gotten on the island; they beat them by thousands of dollars. Ms. MuMu was very helpful before, during and after the process. I'll suggest OGC supply to anyone. Thanks OCG supply.

Hao seemed great giving me a deal on a half sheet when most guys will only sell whole sheets of quartz. I just needed one cabinet topped with quartz in my laundry room. I asked if my worker could drop off the cabinet so they could put it on and talk about how and what was needed. He said no the guy comes to my house. Then he texted me several times asking about back splash and what side needed a overhang while I'm busy working. Well I assumed only one side needed overhangs told him which side then the guy comes with it pre cut and just to glue on, I also asked who puts on the ply board, he didn't get back to me for hours so my guy put it in then finally gets back to me that his guy does it. They were a no show the day they were supposed to come I text him the next day he says he's coming that day. Well the Chinese guy comes doesn't speak a lick of English and turns out we needed overhang on both sides. When my worker tries to tell him he starts yelling in Chinese I need to talk to sales man puts it on and leaves. I call Hao explain what I need he tells me I have to pay another $900 to redo it. I ask for just a little piece to cover the wood in one side glue a small piece on he says no and argues with me that it's my fault and will not do anything to help just $900 pay again total rip off and redo again no solution to fix just argue it was my fault when I thought the guy was coming to my house to cut and install he could've talking and seen what was needed. I sent a pic of it installed never questioned that it needed overhang on both sides. Will never do business with them again. I still have a kitchen and bath to do they lost out.

Bought Arizona green tea thought it would be 99 cents, but no they sold it for $2 almost $3.I asked why? Can clearly say 99 cents. Told her no matter where you buy this they have to sell it for 99 cents and asked why are you guys selling it for more than 99 cents.Owner says they can sell it for as much as they want.. I said it's illegal to sell something different to what's its advertising. Owner says No and hush me out.

I recommend getting quartz countertops from OCG. It was very very nice. Cabinets are good too. Mumu is nice and very helpful. On the negative side I also had granite countertops installed and they were flawed. I contacted someone else to repair the flaws so I'm very happy now.

Best Value!! Best pricing by far, excellent Quartz, good quality cabinetry, auto closing drawers, lazy Susan, expertly designed by Jerry. They did my electrical, plumbing, drywall repair, knocked down walls, chipped tile, etc. one stop shop. Definitely not just a cabinet/countertop store, they do it all and are very efficient. OCG worked around my schedule and were booked out only a week or two. There is a language barrier (recommend writing all little details down and having them put it on the proposal) but for the price it is way worth it!! Cherry and her team are so efficient and quick! The showroom has lots of countertop/cabinet combinations- helps you envision what it would look like in your home. Bring your measurements and Cherry can give you a quote in a few minutes. OCG removed, hauled away our existing counter/cabinets AND installed new cabinets and countertops in 2 bathrooms in 1 day! The installers are also skillful- they were able to do some patchwork on our flooring and moved our outlet up a few inches. Thank you OCG and Cherry!

Parking is cray cray but what's even more cray cray is the grumpy ol security guard. I guess HCC students would park here for classes because it is free but they're not supposed too as it is only for customers. The security guard watches cars and marks their tires with I'm assuming chalk. And if it hasn't moved after 3 hours, he writes you a nice (sarcastic) ticket. So if you plan on spending a good amount of time here, be sure to always move your car around..whether you are getting your hair or nails done, dining at the pancake place and getting some groceries...best to just move it or pay the meter on the street..
