Just left this place to buy one bottle of rum to take up to my room and drink for the rest of the week. Clerk looked at my ID. Yes, I'm from Ohio, and yes I'm 41. She said she smelled alcohol on my breath. Yeah, I had a hard seltzer, about 5 hours ago. I was not intoxicated whatsoever. She would not sell me the liquor. Would you like to give me a breathalyzer? I felt embarrassed and offended.

ABC Stores are all about convenience and service. They've infested Waikiki, yes, but I don't hear any complaints of a far walk from hotels! 95% of the time I'm always greeted when entering, and always thanked when leaving. I can't get that kind of common courtesy in 95% of small, low volume retail stores!? And the prices... Ultra competitive without any gouging based on convenience. Nice.
We were staying at The Modern Waikiki, and this location is conveniently located diagonally across the street. It's a good sized locale with easy and safe access.
So, hats off to them for selling contact saline, iced tea, water, and snacks, all at great prices, and with friendly and courteous customer service.

More expensive than all other ABC store, , watch your bill they charged twice and it’s not mistaken worst customer service ever, just go to the one across the street, these location is a rip off

Bought some souvenirs here, my husband paid. We later realized they charged an item twice could of been a mistake. Just make sure you’re paying attention when paying. Couldn’t go back unfortunately as it was our last night there

4.5 Stars – Convenient, Friendly, and Surprisingly Tasty Local Bites!
If you’re staying near the Discovery Bay Condos, you’re in luck—there’s an ABC Superette nearby that has just about everything you need in a pinch. I already knew about ABC Stores in the area, but this one stood out thanks to its super friendly and respectful cashiers who always greet you with a smile. They truly make the quick stop feel welcoming.
The store is small-scale, but it’s well-stocked with essentials, snacks, souvenirs, drinks, and some surprisingly tasty food options. Yes, things can be a little overpriced, but the convenience and late hours (open until 11 PM) more than make up for it.
Don’t miss their Poke Bowls—fresh and flavorful—and the Musubi is a must-try! It’s perfect for a quick snack or light meal when you don’t feel like going far.
While most ABC Stores are pretty similar, store size can vary, but the vibe and selection are consistent. If you’re nearby, definitely stop by this one—you’ll be glad you did!

As soon as I entered the store, I was greeted by an “Aloha Welcome” from the cashier in the front. I felt the Aloha spirit and the cashiers were very nice to me. They engage with me in a friendly way, especially the cashier with gold teeth 🤩.

The ABC stores are a staple on almost every street in Honolulu, the selection of any snack or souvenirs you may want is here, but this location is price gouging on a case of water! I can buy the same case of water for $7.99 at their local Walmart, 10 blocks away; so be mindful at times.

Thought I would add my views on ABC,
so we are here on vacation AGAIN, love it here, ABC is a convenience store! and that's exactly what it is,, if you need anything and I mean anything they probably have it, no they are not the cheapest however they do have special offers from time to time, if you're looking to do your weekly grocery shopping probably ABC wouldn't be my fir,st choice, if you need to pop in from your condo or hotel for the item you are short of then 10 out of 10 for ABC,
if you haven't been to waikiki before there is literally an ABC Store on every corner and another in between,
if ABC read this, my one wish would be they bring back hot chocolate drink,
they changed the drink machine and no longer do it,, shame ( from a chocoholic )

Lots of affordable snacks & giftware. Conveniently located to our resort. Sells the usual items that all abc stores sell. Enjoyed the fresh fruit! Service was friendly.

Convenient, yes. Ridiculously high prices, yes. A loaf of bread $8 and coffee $12 10 oz. Seriously though, I could take the trolley to walmart and get all I need for a week. Next time.
