Convenient, sure. Fair prices, absolutely not. Even 7-Eleven which is known for being overpriced compared to other C stores, ABC takes the cake in jacking up prices. Also a larger than avg amount of their Hawaiian souvenirs are cheap Chinese junk which is beyond disappointing.

Great for the convenience but you pay for it. They have just about anything you need, but basically it's an oversized gas station convenient store (with touristy stuff). Still, seeing it's right there and the nearest alternative is a ways away....it's worth it for those one off purchases.

UPDATE after Dianne's (Managers) response: Hi Dianne, I want to say thank you so much for reading and responding to us about our situation. It really means a lot to my partner and I and shows that you do have the best intentions. We have since left Honolulu, as our vacation has ended, but we feel that it would be right to remove the negative review now. Our few other experiences at the store had been wonderful. Again, we appreciate your thoughtful response and I'll be keeping the review with a 5 star for your store. ORIGINAL POST:My partner and I were crossing the street to get to the abc store before closing. As we were crossing the street one of the employees had begun closing the doors. We walked up as quickly as we could but by that point the doors had closed. I asked the employee through the crack in the door if I could run in quickly to get some Tums for my girlfriends upset stomach. He said they do have Tums but we can not come in. I explained that we were crossing the street when the doors closed and that we only need the Tums because there is nothing else around that is open. To note there were still people completing purchases inside. Regardless, he said no. Not a personable employee. I get everyone wants to go home but it would be nice if some people had a little more compassion. I've shopped here once before and everything was fine.

February 14th 2023. Tourist trap store. Lots of cheap little souvenirs and expensive grocery items.

Lots of choices. Lots of very overpriced choices. Still, you're going to forget something and you'll need to get the stuff that didn't make it past TSA, right? Beach stuff, cold drinks, sun block, tacky souvenirs, they've got it all.

My wife accidentally dropped and split a Bento but they insisted not to let us pay for it.

Worst in Waikiki.Likely due to pandemic, store is understocked and undersfaffed. Unable or un willing to greet or assist customers. Avoid this location on foot after sun down.

This plus bustling intersection is very convenient for traffic but there is no parking space because the location is very good and there is a lot of traffic, so the business of this small shop is very good. The things in this small shop are very expensive. There is a McDonald's opposite here. There are food items and clothes here. Clothing, etc. are very expensive, but electricity is relatively expensive. Unless you don't have anything to buy, be prepared to save a lot of money.

***EXCELLENT for QUICK BUYS***Yes, the prices are high.Yes, some things are over-rated.Yes, the clientele are often questionable. However, it's in the heart of vacationing and there's not many of these stores to choose from.* Milk is $7.50!* Soda pop is nearly $1.50/can* All cans are recycled and have a $0.03 cent fee.Store is clean and tidy.Plenty of vacation items - towels, sunscreen, play toys, goggles, etc.Check out the pics and hit the HELPFUL button. Thanks,Brian

This was the closest ABC store to the condo we stayed at on our vacation, hence the multiple visits here. Store is clean and employees are very helpful. They had everything you can think of which you may have forgotten to bring with you on your vacation. Plus, food, snacks and drinks. Of course, several souvenirs that you can buy for yourself or family. We couldn't get tickets for Hanauwa Bay, so we bought some snorkel gear and went snorkeling at Sharks Cove. We were so happy to find our sizes to buy and enjoyed our day snorkeling. What I did like was seeing a security guard at the store, which gave me a sense of protection while I shopped. The security guard was just as friendly as the employees. Everyone is greeted here! Hands down, one of the nicest ABC's stores in Waikiki! Thank you!
