My wife and I entered with our Royal Hawaiian room key bracelets, bags from other Royal Hawaiian shops, me in a nice tee and Brooks Brothers shorts and my wife in a tank top and Jean shorts (it’s Hawaii). My wife wanted the Royal Hawaiian scent to remember our incredible honeymoon by. We lived it up in luxury, and the hotel was the peak of the already elevated experience. While there, she asked about the scent and walked around with it. The lady working there followed her everywhere, pretending to fluff shirts on a rack that hadn’t been touched, or to open and close restocking drawers, without even taking anything out of them to restock with. After about five minutes of this my wife finally noticed and walked back to me and said “I’m not buying it now because of that” and put the box back. As we left I turned around and the lady was LITERALLY CHECKING THE BOX my wife had just set down!!!!The room key alone should have granted us a little grace, the rooms are not inexpensive; the bags from other shops should have done further to say we are not common criminals there to steal a $20 roll on scent. This soured an incredible morning and the last day of our honeymoon. We went from feeling like the kings and queens that have frequented this hotel, to common street urchins who weren’t welcome where the bourgeois can see them.

If this is the same Accents near the Royal Hawaiian pool, don't bother going in here. I am a guest at the Royal Hawaiian this week and pass by the store all the time, since it is on the way to the beach and right across from the Mailani Tower (where my room and the concierge is). I passed it at least three times today and went in once. I was wondering why no one was in the store all day, and it's because the staff are apparently instructed to say, "No photos ma'am," if you take photos. I asked why and one staff member said, "You can't just take photos and not buy anything." After that remark, you can be sure I won't be buying anything. I think this is very bad idea if it is a management decision. Pictures are great for business and you just lost at least one customer, me! Here is some free business advice: let people take photos. If they really like something, they will buy it, not only take photos. Photos promote your products and location online for free.

This shop is located near the Royal Hawaiian pool. They carry everything from clothes, hats, hotel souvenirs, jewelry, snacks, sunscreen and more! They currently have a coupon in the Collections of Waikiki shop that you can pick up at the Royal Hawaiian hotel.
