MILITARY BEWARE! I called the Bestwestern down the street from this location. Their military liaison told me I would be staying in the Bestwestern. What I didn’t know was that their liaison is over locations and booked me for the Airport Honolulu Hotel instead. Not a very big deal right?… WRONG! This hotel was the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The biggest thing was the staff. Over the course of 10 days. This hotel charged my card 6 times with various amounts. If you try to ask why you have these charges. They blame other staff members or some mystery audit lady that comes in the middle of the night to charge you again. I was told by the staff to not use a debit card and to use a credit card to pay. (That way, if they charge and refund your money back a bunch of times, u can dispute the charges with your bank.) This place is a nightmare! I’m convinced that this is their shady tactic. Charge your card a bunch of times, refund some of your money. Do this two more times. That way everyone involved is thoroughly confused as to what charge is what and they get their money. Save yourself the headache, hassle and stress and go somewhere else! For non-military. They charge $42 for overnight parking. $72 if you lost your parking ticket. They also charge for Wi-Fi and pool access. Rooms are old and outdated. I found two roaches in my room.

The Shark Den (in house restaurant) had pretty good tacos and great service. Plenty gluten free options, yay! Waitress had a fantastic sense of humor. Five bucks for a tiny, watery coffee though - without any refills offered. Rooms are adequate, have a/c and a nice sized TV we could stream to from our phone, but not the most comfy beds. Keep in mind this is an airport hotel (thus you can hear the planes and traffic). It is only about 10 minutes walk from the airport. So if you are in a hurry, no need wait for the shuttle, walking is potentially faster. Also within 10 minutes walk are a McDonalds, a convenience store, a Dunkin Donuts, L&L, IHOP and a number of other restaurants. The pool looked nice.

They have clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a convenient 24/7 free shuttle to the airport. They also have beautiful Lei Shop (Hawaiian Flowers Clip, Garland, Hats, Shirts, or any kind of Souvenir!!
If you're hungry, they have 2 spots to eat on the 1st floor itself. I enjoyed my Mango Guac with nachos and Hawaii's famous pineapple juice! It was delicious 😋!! They also have a fish spot if you love seafood!! They have Bar, they serve both alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks!!
Within the vicinity, you'll find Starbucks and other places to eat!! The staff are very kind and friendly. They are hilarious as well, lol. Once you check in, you'll get free 2 coupons for drinks🍸😁....enjoyyyy!!

This is a hotel that you should definitely avoid unless you absolutely have to stay near the airport. Although it is a hotel, the facilities and service were the worst of all the accommodations I have stayed at while traveling

The first time I stayed here was back in 2004 and most recently July 2025. Great location, fantastic staff, amenities are very nice. Take advantage of the restaurant specials. Also, if military (active/retired) or first responders- there are some great benefits and discounts. Ask for the the military/ government liaison BEFORE booking.

The location is great! However, the beds aren't thenmost comfortable. We can feel every spring in the bed.
The customer service is okay, but paying $21/night for parking is a bit much. Paying customers should be allowed free parking.

If you need one night to stay, you might want to look elsewhere first. The lobby is nice, but the rooms are outdated, and you can count how many springs are in the mattress with your body because it is the cheapest mattress you can get. It says breakfast is served but its $25 for it. If you want coffee it $6 dollars, no refills. Spend the little bit extre for Best Western to get better rest and a better night's sleep.

In short: don’t book here.
Main point: we prepaid 1 night on Expedia, upon checking in they charged us $1800 on accident. She called and said they over charged but didn’t specify how much but not to worry that the refunded it, but now other little amounts keep coming off and it’s so crazy. No one is helpful on the phone. We had to call our bank and even they said that the transactions were strange. It’s very very frustrating, the excuse was they used our credit card on someone else’s account on accident.
Aside from this- The rooms also were gross. I saw a cockroach in the lobby on check in and I felt like I needed 3 showers after we left to feel clean again. Avoid!!!!!

Holy smokes this place was terrible! The room was dirty with a surprise of a refrigerator full of previous guests' rotting food. We were charged an amenities fee and there was no soap. We only stayed here because it was close to the airport and it cost us $200 a night plus a $30 amenities fee. It was not worth an hourly rate. Uneducated staff. Awful restaurant. I was actually impressed with how this was our worst experience on the island. It was our only bad experience on the island. Save yourselves. Pitch a tent on the tarmac. Here is a photo of the liminal space. The thin man is in here somewhere. Laughably bad. Management would be ashamed if they had that level of acuity.

Considering that is probably the oldest hotel on the block I expected more from it.Hotel is in poor condition and hasn’t been upgraded in a while probably the 90’.
I rented this for 10 days because of the geolocation traveling all around the island and having a car rental from the airport.
However the parking is 45$/day😂and I suggest not using their parking. I parked easily on public road Koapaka St(between Shell&McDonald’s)for all my stay well lit area with traffic and FREE 5min walk from the hotel.
Beds are terrible. Came back with a back pain. Beds are old school and not comfortable at all.
For my baby they gave me the worst baby crib ever.. looked like 1945 leftovers.. so I ended up getting my baby to sleep in bed with me+they knew in advance that I have a baby and they got me a room by the bar&pool side with music and karaoke and ended up moving to a different room.
Paid loads of money and breakfast is not included.. they charge 25$ per person for some oatmeal’s,eggs, tea, coffee etc😂( again I suggest McDonald’s 5$)

We chose this hotel because we thought it would be convenient to get to and from HNL. When we arrived at HNL, we were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait for the hotel shuttle. The next day, when we were headed to HNL, we found out that the shuttle only departs for the airport once per hour! Given that convenience was the main reason for our stay, we would not come back again.
Additionally, while the common areas look good, the maintenance and upkeep of the rooms leaves much to be desired. The mattresses in our room were saggy and uncomfortable; I woke up with a sore back. I took a look at the mattress and it was compressed and looked really old. Finally, the blackout curtains had several holes in the lining, letting in light.
