The hotel worker protesters all day from 6am to 10pm banging drums and chanting loudly was extremely unfortunate timing. the resort fees per person per day should be taken into account when you book anything in Waikiki calling itself a "resort"

The service here was great, but there was one hotel service member that stood out, Guillermo. Guillermo is a server at the Swell Bar. He was extremely professional and attentive. By far the best service I've ever received in my life. He made my wife, and I feel as if we're VIPs. If you are lucky enough to get Guillermo as your server, he'll make sure you have the best experience possible. A+

Oceanfront or why are you there? What a nice resort with friendly staff and amenities. Not to mention the huge aquarium in the lobby.

Despite some negative comments online our experience was very positive. staff was friendly and very professional, check in was really smooth. Swimming pool with seaview is great. Only « even better if » would be to have a different floor in the room as carpet is not ideal when having such a humide weather + bathroom is quite small.

Disappointing Experience for Military PCS - Avoid if Possible
I recently stayed at the Alohilani Hotel under the TLA rate for my PCS move to Hawaii. I booked a 20-day stay from August 21 to September 9, as the eligibility requirements had changed. On September 7, after signing the lease for my new apartment with a move in date of 18 September, I requested an extension. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the approved TLA memorandum until the following week because it was the weekend.
Despite explaining my situation, the hotel management denied my request for an extension under the TLA rate and insisted I book at regular rates. This was particularly frustrating because I had a positive experience here in 2021 under similar circumstances.
The lack of flexibility and understanding from the management this time around was very disappointing. It was incredibly inconvenient now that I have to find and move my family to another hotel on such short notice.
We specifically chose this hotel because of its proximity to my wife’s work, which added to the frustration.
If you’re a military member on PCS orders to Hawaii, I would recommend avoiding this hotel. The management’s unwillingness to accommodate military personnel is a significant drawback

We had an amazing stay at Alohilani.
It is not a luxury hotel as in the photos but we had a very nice experience and the daily cleaning was perfect and to the detail.. also the coffee machine helped a lot . Also the room was very quiet .Definitely will come back .

Would highly recommend, everyone is nice and centrally located.
Rooms are really spacious and bed is comfortable. One note is bathroom could be renovated or upgraded. (Only one head and the mirror is chipped at some parts).

A block from the beach, comfortable rooms, although it says that cleaning will be done every other day, our room was made daily, good breakfast! Very nice staff

What makes this a five star hotel? Everything was fine, not the best and not the worst. The best thing was the location as it was right across from the beach. The pool was nice, but the food and drinks were ok. The lobby was nice, but there were long lines at the front desk. There were three restaurants, but they didn't seem worth it to go. We did not eat at the hotel. We had the coffee shop, but the hours could have been longer. The rooms were very mediocre. Something like a holiday inn or best western. We were expecting a little more with the rooms since this is a five star hotel. Probably will stay at a different hotel our next stay.
Rooms: Very average
