after waiting in line for 20 minutes i got helped and i wanted to change the address on file and they made me fill it out in the lobby and wait in line again for 30 minutes after saying they would be right back with me. they’re app is very confusing and hard to use

I loved their tellers in South King street branch but management was so bad I had nightmare every time I think about the treatment I suffered from it. I could not elaborate on what happened but my trust on their management was tarnished I'd rather take my business somewhere else

This branch is the bomb!! Its not super crowded like some of the other branches and the people here are so nice and helpful!! Our teller Jordan was amazingly fast and he RAN to get his manager's approval on a wire we were sending out. He RAN lol. If you guys want the best service with the best atmosphere definitely come here!!

Jordan Kipi is an excellent banker and one of the best I've seen in my 15 years of being a business owner. We have a variety of accounts and he is on it with everything and does all that is asked with pride and a sense of urgency. I used to go to different BOHs and was a bit irritated at the slow service and having to repeat myself multiple for the same transaction request. Now I'll go out my way to do business at this bank and always check to see if Jordan is working. 5/5 on yelp, would highly recommend.

I was so excited for a BOH to open up so close at home but the three times I've been in this branch, your team is extremely unprofessional. BOH Corporate needs to come in and properly train this branch! This is to the manager, Esther - you handled my big check deposit with a new banker completely unprofessionally and I left your branch feeling anxious that I entrusted you and your new / incompetent banker to deposit such an important check. I even left the bank with my checking and savings account numbers written down incorrectly by your same banker. I asked you personally to step in and take over when it was evident that your new banker did not know how to compete the task, showed discomfort and we could not understand each other - and you continued to try to guide him over his shoulder. Also, if you can't hear me over the music playing in your branch - turn it down maybe? I couldn't hear you either. Get it together, Manoa branch. People are entrusting your team with their finances and you're acting like there is no supervisor or accountability for the way you behave in this new building. I wish I chose a different bank in Hawaii.

Their automated answering system is a joke. They don't give you the option to just speak to a human being and you have to listen to their extensive list of options only to find out none of them are just for asking questions to customer service.

This is my go to branch because it's close to my business. Every time I come here it's always a pleasant visit. Yesterday I had the privilege to work with Melissa in opening a savings account. She was very professional, quick, personable and overall a great person to talk to. I've been to many of the other BOH branches but this Manoa branch is by far the best!

Not so much of a knock on this branch but on BOH generally. I wanted to changed our daughter's account from one type to another, but needed to get information before we physically went to the branch. Unfortunately, the branch doesn't have a direct number. Instead, you have to phone the main BOH number, but after 20 minutes of being on hold, and no indication of how many calls were ahead of me, I gave up in frustration. So I phoned FHB right away, was notified of how many people were ahead of me and given the option of having a call-back. Within 9 minutes of initiating my call I received their call-back and had all of my questions answered. We're now heading up to the BOH branch to close down her account and then open a new one at FHB. BOH, you've really go to step up your game if you want to keep your customers.

I was very disappointed today when I was 4 minutes late to the bank to cash my check after work. I saw the people inside who just closed the door and I asked them if the bank was closed and if I could cash my check. They could have easily opened the door and did a quick transfer but instead they told me the bank was closed and had me leave so I can wait a another day even though I was only 4 minutes late. Very disappointing!

This is one of those new branches that doesn't have a line. It's a concept that doesn't work. You don't know whose available, you can accidentally cut in front of someone and when it's busy there is a general confusion. It's not bad when there is a greater to send you to the proper area but this is a concept that some marketing person without real world experience has come up with. I don't know maybe it works somewhere else but not here. The people here are kind and friendly
