Guy at the register doesn't like black people. I saw it first hand. As a local, please get your priorities correct. It's the haoles that are stealing.

I am asian and the man that works (owner) there is extremely rude (nasty attitude) and treats customers like they are bothering him. That is just downright stupid. I guess they don't want business. Or because they know there is no other convenience store nearby except 7-11 and them, they don't have to treat customers with respect. That is still no excuse. I hope they go out of business.

The owners/cashiers are rude and treat everyone like a criminal. I guess they don't understand how things work in America.. I sent my husband to get me cigarettes before they closed, with MY debit card.. They were very rude to him, wouldn't let him make the purchase. He explained to them that this is my wife's card and you need a pin to use it, they said "it's a stolen credit card, You get us in trouble, you leave now"... ITS A DEBIT CARD with a Mastercard logo that you need a pin to use dummy's! But again they treat everyone like criminals. Every time I go in there myself to buy something they stare at my ID card and DEBIT card like I stole it. What if I was handicap and couldn't go anywhere myself, they're gonna deny business because of who's name is on a debit card? I believe as long as you have someone's permission and their pin that you can use it.

This place is the s***!!! Drinks are unique, not the same boring ones other places have. Rad location in heart of Downtown/China town. This is where it's at. Trippy theme is set through the whole bar. Feels like you're a pirate on an island. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Such a great ambiance. From the moment walked in we were so wowed by their decorations and beautiful decor. Everything is very put together to be tiki theme and stylish. You can choose to sit at the bar or sit at your own tables. Waitress was very friendly and prompt. It was Friday 13th and they had special spooky drink menu for it. We planned on getting some food there because we saw some great reviews about their food but they didn't have any food available and told us they will soon have new chief and they will have their food menu back again. All the drinks were beautifully decorated and delicious!

Ok, this place is cool. Super intimate little bar with a decent amount of seating, but it totally has a unique, kind of odd vibe. The decor is out there, with lots of skulls, shrunken heads, and stuffed animals. The lighting is pretty awesome, but the music wasn't our jam. I would enjoy it more if everything stayed the same but the music. It was mostly animal noises and creepy tunes. Interesting and definitely an experience. The drinks were great. And picture-worthy. I had the Black Pearl, which was made with activated charcoal, so presentation was super cool. The painkiller was really good also. They offer a few mai tai varieties made with local rum that we also liked!

I am a huge fan of Tiki Bars and I like to visit them where ever I go. I heard of Skull and crown trading company through the New York Times 36 hours in Honolulu. Everything that was mentioned was exactly what I experienced-the Huge standing tiki, buoys hanging, mermaid over the bar, a soundtrack of tiki music and the professional decor and design of a tiki bar. I was told the drinks are superb and yes, I ordered the awa awa Mai tai drink that was mentioned in the NY Times probably the best mai tai I've ever had..thanks to Bartender Jordan. It's quite cozy on the inside but to our surprise there was an outdoor tiki garden with a waterfall, lush Hawaiian flowers and beautiful plants. Fortunately we were able to spend time inside and on the outside, just leave all your problems at the door and immerse back into time this place is a great place to escape. Unfortunately Hawaii has a shortage of Tiki bars so coming to Skull and crown trading company can have you experience what Don the beachcomber or other famous tiki bars were like.

Obviously the best tiki bar on Oahu. Super good drinks. Good variety of local beers and cocktails. I recommend the Tropical Sensation, the only vodka cocktail on the menu. I also recommend the Chinatown Zombie, the strongest rum based drink. The interior design will amaze you. It's like a museum. Every artifact and decoration has a story. The owners are the coolest people that I've ever met. No joke. Perfect place for family or friends. The drinks, music, lighting, decor, staff, and occasional thunderstorms make the experience and atmosphere memorable and enjoyable :)
