When one of my friends was buying his first place, I asked him who he was using for his loan officer because my husband and I were looking into buying a place of our own. He referred us to Cynthia at the Hawaii Kai Hawaii State FCU. From the beginning we loved her. She's so warm and welcoming. She was so patient with all our questions and made the entire loan process when purchasing our home as easy as possible. She truly cares about her clients and helping them as much as possible. We would recommend her to any of our family and friends looking to purchase a home in a heartbeat.

I don't know what more I can say about the Hawaii Kai branch. I am overwhelmed by their service. Everytime I walk through the door their smiles are the first to greet me. I hate when I walk into a place for the first time and even though they're people look right at me they don't greet me. I'm sure you know the feeling. It's just kind of awkward. I've had a recent bad experience at another branch but this was the one that turned it around for me. Thank you Hawaii Kai! Keep on keeping on!

This review is for Andre & Todd - Thank you so much for your awesome service and help! I am so happy to now be a member of HSFCU. After searching for a new bank and looking at loan options, I felt very comfortable with this bank and the service I received. They were both very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, helped me open up new accounts and a new loan, and I left feeling awesome. So grateful I found this bank. I feel very good about my decision to join HSFCU and highly recommend them. Thank you again Andre & Todd. You guys were wonderful to work with.

This Hawaii State FCU took place of Hawaii USA FCU. I am not a member of Hawaii State FCU until seeing a promotion - open checking, savings account, get $50 and the school of choice gets $50. I signed up because this is a great offer both for the school, I work at and I. This was about a year ago. I've never had a debit card before until now. Since then, I've referred my sister and my college daughter and they both received the $50 promotion, might as well as they both needed to open a savings/checking account. I like this location as it is convenient for me to make a quick stop before I head to my other job. It is usually quick when I visit, most of the time there are no line. Usually there are 2 tellers working. I really like how the credit union is set up, very nice and welcoming. What I Love about Hawaii State FCU, is the Coin Star machine, I noticed the machine, near the entrance/ I hate having to roll my coins the old fashioned way or taking them to grocery store's Coin Star machine and having to pay a fee. This one is absolutely free, no charge. I accumulate lots of coins and this machine is a life saver for me, saves me time and money to exchange my coins. I love the movie events that FCU puts on for their members, the cost for the event range from $5-6.00, I was able to enjoy two movie events since being a member. My daughter is happy with her account and also she was able to get free set of checks, the credit union she is with now will charge her a fee for per check used. Note, don't forget member number if you have to deposit any funds to another account, I made a mistake during one of my visits and had to come back. I wanted to deposit money to my daughter's account but I didn't know her member number, I thought I could deposit by name on the account. All in all, I am glad that I saw the ad for Hawaii State FCU, we are happy members of Hawaii State FCU.

July 2018 Great customer service, neat and clean . Mel the customer service rep is fantastic. She calls you by your name and always willing to go beyond the call and always finds way to make things happen. Troy is a good branch manager, goes out if his way to make sure there's no problems and the members are taken care of. Suggestion: they should have panels to block out the next person for hearing, seeing you do your transaction at the counter. Privacy.

I want to share an incredible story with you regarding an incredible teller and Branch Manager of your Hawai'i Kai branch. Emily Mossman is absolutely the best in every aspect. She was so warming and welcoming. I came to the branch to ask for some help with opening an account and personal loan, and Emily took me under her wing without missing a beat. She guided me through every step, every sentence, every signature with confidence and professionalism. She is the Aloha that is missing in many establishments and you should be absolutely proud of how she represents your institution. She is what Hawai'i should represent, Aloha, and she executes that flawlessly and with no hesitation. Please share this information to the highest level of your company and recognize her for the amazing and genuine service she provides on behalf of your institution and to this community. Secondly, Troy Yoshimura who Emily referred me to shortly thereafter only added to the already amazing experience. His knowledge and genuine care for me, my family, and our wellbeing was demonstrated through the information and service that he provided not just for today, but for the future. These two individuals solidify my decision to make a home for myself with your institution and it is my absolute privilege to be serviced by them. If you need any type of information from me, please reach out and contact me. I came in slightly overwhelmed, nervous and hesitant and am leaving humbly appreciative and blessed. Mahalo Emily and Troy for living the full meaning of Aloha. Also to Joyce Galinato, mahalo for taking the time to answer my call and hear me out. Your reflection of Aloha is pure and visible through the phone. Mahalo Mahalo Mahalo to you all.
